That was the PVP area in CBT, I wasn't there but have heard about it. They shut it down before EA and have apparently been working on it

What can you do on a new ship and with a new crew that you can't do with the current ones?

Shipbuilders can sell ships and superstructures, etc. Or they can buy ships with the same superstructure as NPCs.

personally i care for more events , A Race event , a big event alert banner that brings all interested players to race on a 10 lap circuit against each others tricks and map circuit obstacles with premade ship same for all

You're just reviewing only one day, plus it's a new game, offering many things differents from many popular games, for now the only problem is the lack of content for hundreds of hours.
