Okay clearly you did not get the idea of resource gathering with the multiple quests to dredge items. There are many many marked circles around the map. You should have an orange and Blue bobber type thing you activate in inventory then use U to throw overboard. With Dredge on the back go to one of those circles on the map that is NOT black put the bobber in the water and slowly move about the circle. When the Blue icon is inside the inner most circle on that new radar screen you have stop and hit P
The higher Tier the Dredge is the larger that inner circle is, more resource you get and faster the process goes. T5 the inner circle is nearly the whole 2nd radar.
