Intro:
I was doing this mission solo with t5 Glare wooden hull and 3 t5 MGs, 3 t5 Cannons and 3 t4 Flaks. Took 2-3 retries to form some kind of strategy.
Armament and ship:
The ship is as armored and fat as possible, or with a stock of repair kits on board. By the end of the game, I had accumulated 50 pieces of them and I just tanked many bosses in solo right on a wooden hull.
Put all the t5-cannons on the ship, it grants the maximum damage that you can afford. According to experience, it works best with cannons. You need huge single-target DPS here.
Priorities for killing targets:
Kamikaze -> Hovercrafts -> Towers
Kamikazes are fast and explode painfully, they are the first priority as soon as they appear in the wave.
Hovercrafts shoot missiles (grenades?) from afar with ballistic trajectory, allied anti-aircraft guns are shaved off very quickly. Hovers have the second priority, go kill them as soon as you see and realize that there is no kamikaze.
The towers barely crawl and begin to burn the city with fire only in close quarters, they can be ignored for some time in favor of higher priority targets.
I suggest to ignore the little boats and fliers to the end, killing only the boats that spit fire. There was too much damage from them, at least it hurt for the wooden t5 Glare. Everything flying and jet skis with machine guns are useless
How to act:
You look at the radar, ride between groups of priority enemies and kill them.
Kamikazes are carried out simply by shooting at barrels, there is nothing tricky there.
Hovers are killed most quickly in engines (propellers at the back), and some specific siege towers are killed in the same way. You hit the propellers - no need to squander all the HP, when all the propellers are destroyed, they immediately sink.
Towers - shoot at the red barrels. There are 6-8 of them at the base of the tower and 2-3 more barrels on each floor. When most of the barrels are destroyed, the tower sinks.
Little boats, as I already wrote, are ignored. You live by repair kits and pumping water if damaged too bad.
General advice:
The mobility of the boat is needed to quickly position between groups of enemies and respond to threats in time, I do not advise taking a very slow boat.
As for the ability to win on the T4-boat, I don't know. Fullmetal hull makes it possible I guess. It is quite passable on the Burrdock I think, especially in full-metall hull too.
