Power not energy

So i got a question, i have looked on reddit and on the forums and haven been able to find the answer.

What the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell does the Power stat do? not energy from power plants but the actual power stat, one you get from funnels and crap

power will help your ship reach its final move speed
ships like grasp or other slow ships require them to be able to move faster
my grasp speed is showing as 102 but only goes 60 with 4 t5 funnels or w/e
without them i go 30

kinda like certain power limits are required to "move" a ship

would be nice to know how much power is needed to move how much weight/mass at what speed. as opposed being told max speed is 60 but only move at 30 odd when at only maybe 2/3 max weight

YEah be nice but I am sure some one could sort it out, or has. Issue is this game has so few players no one really posts a lot of guides for it... Hoping that changes one day...

All the info is on discord, search and there's tons of posts by people who have played since CBT

Not really also you can search the forums and get same exact results which in this case "more power= more acceleration, and hit top speed when heavier."

The discord is ok, but its not the holy bible you guys keep making it out to be. Maybe there was a like a FAQ up or something it would be worth bragging about but you actually get more worthless hits when searching the forums for keywords then steam as the same question asked over and over almost like it should be in FAQ or part the tutorial or something lol

That is not on discord. The guides section only has a map and ship list. Neither is the other power thing. And recharge.
