See, the thing is, some of us have jobs, and wives/girlfriends/partners/kids, and can't spend all day grinding medallions. Just saying...
If you don't have time to grind, why do you play this game?
Having more crates wouldn't solve the issue. People would take all the crates.
That's... an astonishingly dumb question. Or attitude. Or whatever. I play this game because I want to? And I'd like to have a bit of fun, you know, like people do. There's plenty MMO's out there that *aren't* grindy, by the way. (Although seemingly everything Gaijin touches is grindy as ♥♥♥♥ but guess what you can bypass the grind with some real money).
There's a balance to grind too - right now? Age of Water is too ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grindy.
Sure, but when you do manage to find a spot at least you have a shot at getting what you need in one sitting instead of having to take multiple days just to get enough together to research T2 batteries, for example...
It also depends on the time of the day, i mean don't dredge at peak hours, do questing
Definitely not an all day grind. Couple of Caravans and a few minutes sinking pirates is all it takes. Dredging on the other hand, is an all day affair since there is so much travel time and the dredge action itself isn't just a matter of smashing [E].
If I were unlucky enough to have wives/girlfriends/partners/kids, I would have them do the dredging for me while I went off into the kitchen to have a sandwich. And save the fun stuff for myself.
All day? Dude... I just farmed 300k medallion in an HOUR by killing the farming fleet in the west. There is also one to the far south, and the far east. Thats enough for 3k chemical waste right there.
Okay, and this can be done with a T2 boat? Right?
And I've never seen this farming fleet... where the heck is it :(
Yeah no , if you do find a good spot to "grind" medallions it will be with other people doing 0 work for it, then as the enemy gets close to dead they start plinking it and earning the kill with zero effort , calling it easy where you just have to plink as the last damage do get the kill-loot, they need to randomize the spawning spots for this and fix that the one doing most damage earns the loot
The East is hard, it's a fleet of small boats, but they have heavy grenade launchers, or alternatively, there is a fleet of hover boats, slightly north east of the mermaid. With good canons, you can wreck their engines.
I suggest you try to capture a walrus at least so you can tank some damage, walruses aren't hard to capture.
they are called dingy when they are controlled by NPC, there are plenty north of Three whales if you follow the northbound stream.
Just run the caravans. They happen every hour or something just run around shooting people doesnt matter if you win or lose. If you team wins you get double the medallions if you lose then you just get whatever you earned. Just go for deck shots trying to disable guns, generators, etc they are worth the most medallions. You can easily get 40-50k in a run. im sure some guys with the higher tier boats can get way more than that.
