Ooh, interesting indeed how it's possible to recover with 0 weapons at all...
Yeah, it's kind of annoying to miss the little 'V' apply button checkmark thing - I just got bitten in the ass by that one by doing exactly what OP did and was also left with, well, not much. I've got a machinegun and a flak cannon so I guess I'll be grinding back somehow...
Well, in case someone has the same problem:
Either store some stuff in your base or loot stuff around the protected areas.
The jetskies will give out machineguns pretty often so lure them near base defenses or just loot everything you see in the water.
You can also try to capsize smaller boats by going over them.
In rare ocassions you can board stranded ships to get gun parts.
The enemy accuracy is by design, its not a "skill based game". Its about building ships.
We are supposed to put armored structures on the ship like a front and back cabin, the big metal shields can be rotated to protect the boat interior, some turret elevation or protection.
Some experienced players have very little stuff on their boat and lots of armor since repairs costs skyrocket.
I would also recommand at least a speed of 50+ so you can escape bad situations. Usually the enemy chases for 1000
1000 meters?
