How to get a T2 ship?

I think I can't progress anymore cause my ship it sh.t.
There is no explanation in game how to build or get a better ship.

No real tutorial or anything on how to do this. Additionally only a few boats are capturable.

You're supposed to get the boarding ability on your helmsman. That allows you to capture boats.

1. find boat you want,
2. destroy all crew members on boat you want. (recommend to use machine guns)
3. rob option will appear, take control of new ship,
4. take all the stuff from your old ship onto new ship and then go back to shipyard in three whales

Find an enemy T2 ship you want, kill all crew (gunners and helmsman). Board it. The ship will run away as soon as all gunners are down, so be careful not to be lured in a new encounter.

So there are no blueprints or anything to craft a higher Tier Ship?

ATM I struggle hard, I mean I played "No Rest for the Wicked" (Soulslike RPG) last week and I didn't struggle that hard, this game is not well explained and balanced,
At the Mission "Important Artifact" are already T3 and T4 ships and most of the people who didin't play beta still don't know how to get a better ship.
This Game need good explained Tutorial Missions, and not Pirates who kill you nearly instantly with a not missing Cannon, before you have an idea about the Game and how it works. It kicks you hard in your ass. Well done Game

Be warned, if you return the ship to the shipyard, and don't return to your previous ship in time, you will lose everything on your previous ship pretty much ending your game completely.

There is no way to recover from this, short of a dev rolling you back, or you deciding to delete and restart. ♥♥♥♥ move by the developers who didn't think the boarding system through.

The Game just isn't done yet and it is EA, but some things in this Game are simply not well thought out...

Oh damn,, just realised that "I" was for rank, not that it was number 1 our of X pirates.. Doh, I must have missread the name and mixed it with the rank early in the game and not had a second thought about it XD

Really up to you. The T1 ships you get the bonus for is blasted by pretty quickly and the medallions are earned in game. The % boost to some of the crew skills is "Eh" the 30 dollar edition was fine for me.
