so let me be the first german to ask this:
is there a way to get the "Free Bonus Content" if you know what i mean...

im so sick of germany and steam not figureing out this age verification ♥♥♥♥

Then let me be the second german to ask about the "Free Bonus Content" ;-) I also second the phenomenon of getting sick because I keep on getting confronted with this "germany / steam age verification" problem ! What a mess !

Germany requires age-verification via ID. Obviously Steam is not interested in making a system and collect users personal information just for few countries like Germany, therefore adult content is simply blocked.

To bypass the restriction and see blocked games, you need a VPN.
1. Close Steam and connect to a VPN server outside of germany.
2. Then launch Steam again and navigate to the "account details" page.
3. There you need to "update the payment method linkted to this account".
There you need to change your Country. While under VPN, connected to a different country, it will show you a second option beside "Germany", it will be the country from the VPN server.
Select the country and save the settings.
4. Now you should be able to see all the blocked games and DLCs.
However, it works only temporary, next time you start Steam it will be back to Germany.
But it should be enough to activate free DLCs.

I don't have the game, so I can't confirm that it works, but it usually do.

But to help a bit, you should go the route of the official Patreon to get access to all their games, without all the steam nonsense.

But as a german i feel ya. Censorship like in 1942 over here. Tiddies gets censored in games but nudity in real shows is okay? Makes no sense.

The best would be just that devs would alternative releasing games on ItchIO cause there u can get all the games uncensored without that u need an seperate DLC or patch or whatever.

Oh, that is simply not true.
Steam has to use an identity verification service and only save the outcome of that service. They could even sell this feature. And by the way, they already collect e-mail adresses, mobile phone numbers as well as names and adresses for billing purposes.

in Germany porn is allowed but you need to show ID for being able too see it. I havent seen any service tho that has it implemented yet. and porn sites usually dont care but some lesser known site have been region banned.

Basically if you want to see 18+ on Steam or something, you can't since most services dont want to add ID verification to their service. Which sucks IMO

I thought the issue was already over but it seems that it still goes on.
Hopefully it will be solved ... within my lifetime.

I will add this from the Japanese post a bit earlier.
Use Win+R to get the command console and enter "steam://install/2824300" (without the quotes)
When you press enter, it will install the DLC content.
We Germans need these ID codes for all free hidden content...

Sorry, but as far as I know that does not work.
Steam still checks for availability / permission for your region.
So for accounts set to Germany or China it will deny the access to the DLC even with that command.

Seems to be the best solution for now when you don't want the hassle of setting up VPN services, which I don't.
