Game is pretty much dead on Windows 11

The last few days, PoE2 has been freezing so badly, the only way to get out of it is to hard shutdown your PC and try again. Always seems to happen on loading screens. So far, most of my friend group is being impacted by it.

Turn down lighting and shadows then swap to DX11 (or vulkan if it works for you).

I was unable to play and tried a lot of things
The only thing that solved my crashing issues when loading new areas was the following configuration:
On windows, Search for: Graphics Settings

Turn OFF the folowing option on advance settings:
Hardware-Accelerated GPU scheduling

That solved if for me, no more crashs so far.

turn of engine multithreading in settings. but it will impact your fps untill this issue is properly fixed, i swapped from i5 to ryzen 7 9800x3d and im still freezing on loading when i turn on multithreading

Eiw. Format and re-install 10. Then go to linux when support is halted. Windows 11 is trash.

Funny, though, the game works well even on old nvidia gpu and a wayland compositor.

Had no issues on windows 11 the whole time, but I built my pc using my big 'ol brain...so since you don't have that you probably got in to some trouble.

blame windows if you want, but..
I now have ~30 hours play time since updating to 24h2. still 0 crashes

5900x and 3070ti with 32gb ram @ 1440p dx12 default settings

Honestly though, same here. I'm on W11 and haven't had any issues and my rig is beginning to show it's age. It was all brand new when I got the Ryzen 3800x close to its launch, so, it's effectively ancient by PC standards.

I run Windows 11 and ive had no crashes yet thank goodness and only a few server issues sending me back to the character selection screen,i update regularly and figure thats why ive had no issues yet,love the game its beautiful in 4k,full AMD build,my specs below:

0 issues here.. have seen a few posts with people saying roll back to 23H2.. That is what I am running on at the moment and yeah no problems..

People saying you have no issues isn’t useful, it’s still a widespread issue.
