Movement Speed Bonus Should Be Implicit On All Boots
or maybe most if not all. It's ridiculous to pretend that it is not a must-have mod

Here I am thinking all the Dark Souls/Elden Ring god gamers wanted a slow game.

According to them being slow means it's more impactful.

I think they should make +20% runspeed the default and remove it from all boots.

or there could be a movement speed increase via sprint basic action by pressing and holding the dodge button like basically every game that isn't a stupid MOBA

but if movespeed was a variable implicit instead of an affix then the only time it should have a value of zero is in the case of unique boots that have a different implicit

It does suck to find boots that have +100 health, +100 mana, crit, magic find, dual resist but no run/walk... hard pass. But default naw. So far I've had to craft all my good boots from a white high 20% run/walk.

This might be a hot take, but movement speed and item discovery shouldn't be stats in the game

I agree to some extent because any boots with 0% movement vs +15% simply isn't worth equipping however I wouldn't make all boots the same. I think it would be better if there were more varied options of speeds available, instead of most boots having no speed, it could be something like boots varying between 0 to 15 with more of an average available as the most common like 7-10%, instead of 0% being the default.

If something is absolutely must have, then the whole mechanic is to be redone. They shouldn't put implicit on boots. They should raise base move speed, and make move speed tied to the type of armour you are wearing. The more "armour" armour type you have on your body, the slower you get, like 2% per gear part (1% for hybrid armours).

More seriously, I think the issue is that they have mounts and transformation skills in the works and the reason the game is a slog right now is because those things are taken into account but they are still not in the game.
So we are basically missing half of the mechanic.

The base movement speed should be increased by 500% and the attack speed reduced by 500%.

If there is a mount that is invisible and includes a running animation I would be okay with that. Do you think the mount could be deployed by holding the roll button?
