Multiplayer Monster Scaling Issues
So, I understand and agree there needs to be some scaling to monsters if you play with 2 players as opposed to playing solo. You need to give mobs more health and damage, otherwise the games becomes too easy.

But the current scaling on mobs is completely crazy. Playing with 2 players as opposed to playing solo feels about 5x harder. Bosses take 20~30 minutes to beat and you can't miss a single dodge roll or it's likely they'll 1-hit kill you.

I don't hate the difficulty because I'm used to souls like games, but there's no incentive to playing duo or trio as the game is much easier and faster to level if you just play solo.

The trial of Sekhemas is even worse. If you join with two players, you'll be faced 2~3 times as many mobs in each room and each of them have considerably more HP and damage. I also don't know if this is entirely correct but it felt like the Honour was shared between the both of us, meaning if he takes a hit I also lose my own Honour. And the timed trials were typically bugged for one us of too.

Doing the first trial was completely impossible as soon as we unlocked it in a duo play. Even after finishing act 2 and becoming a lot stronger, it's still considerably harder than doing it solo.

For reference, we're both always the same level as we only play when we play together. There's no level scaling in place.

I agree with this. I regularly play with 2+ other users. When we high act bosses come up, we generally say 'youre doing this solo'. Its not even as if the mechanics or general damage/one-shots are the problem, but just the amount of health required turna 5-10 minute fight into a 30+ affair. Something isnt right about this scaling.

Playing the campaign in a duo is just asking to die a ton, especially in HC. Me and a buddy are duoing in HC, and it is brutal. We have no gear, no previous currency, just fresh, and it's very hard. The mobs have too much life. I play solo, the game is ez, but by just adding ONE other person, the mobs/bosses acquire too much health.

It's almost like they want yo to play acts 1-6 solo, and then team up for endgame...

I can confirm that playing duo is much much harder in POE2. My friend and I play ARPGS of all types and DUO most of them. Most of these ARPGS scaled pretty well especially Diablo 2 and 3. But POE 2 it's insane, when I switched characters in cruel playthrough with my friend with my solo character Warrior because I thought my Mercenary was under powered; I discovered my Warrior wasn't melting mobs anymore and often taking more than 4 slams to kill trash mobs where 1 or 2 would of suffice in SOLO, and bosses were way worse. I jumped on my underpowered mercenary SOLO, I found he wasn't underpowered - he was melting the mobs and bosses.

Weird.
