Report a translation problem
When you start building EVERY character around freezing stuff, there is a problem.
I hate that it's going to change, but I understand it.
Is freeze next up on the chopping block?

It needed to be toned down but, I hope they don't destroy it. Right now there is no noticable reduction in freeze buildup after freezing enemies. It may be there, but it's not enough to really slow down how fast you freeze things.
So I can start a boss fight, freeze the monster before it really gets any attacks off, then Snipe/Heavy stun it before the freeze wears off, and then build up freeze on it again so when it unstuns I just repeat the entire process.
Makes most boss fights trivial.
IT's VERY powerful right now with the right skills/supports. Ihonestly am a bit scared how this is going to affect my monk. His freeze buldup is one of his major defenses.
His damage is GREAT, but he general freezes packs or bosses then drops his bell and destroys things (while they are frozen). That keeps him alive.
He has good evasion and acrobatics as well, but yeah, freeze is probably the most important thing about the way I play him.
Same for my deadeye but he is ranged so it's not AS important. He is faster than god too, my monk isn't as fast.
IT's really going to hurt me because I realized how strong freeze was early and built pretty much all my characters around at least using it (even if they don't specialize in it).
If it's nerfed enough it is going to make tanking for almost every character I have significantly harder.

The freeze reduction alone is going to hurt him a ton. Don't take away his insane attack speed, damage etc as well. Now he won't be able to constantly freeze/stun all bosses till the die. Isn't that enough?

People know, they just don't necessarily like nerfs/changes. Being aware of the EA model doesn't really help.
If I know someone will shoot me in the knee beforehand... still hurts

It sounds like this is what they are aiming for. General mapping it will still perform the same, just won't be quite as effective against bosses.
Thing is you can't just make freeze work once, or it's just not worth the investment in it or not having other things you are doing like igniting or shocking/electracuting (or stunning etc).
Maybe I could switch my freeze to 100% stun, but I already had freeze AND stun and that worked really well in combo. Stun even invested in, takes time to build up especially on certain bosses. Freeze GIVES you that time.
You still can probably freeze the first time just as fast though, which then gives you time to heavy stun the first time, so I guess just focusing on more damage might just let you kill the bosses before the stun wears off (I think others with better equipment already do that).
I mostly play SSF though even now, so my eq isn't as good.
