Disable allied skill effects
Is there a way to disable allied skill effects? Like in the config file maybe?
My mate is running around with a fireball spell that spawns fireballs around him and they are ricochetting everywhere. It is giving me a headache and the effect is still pronounced when the game culls the effect to try reach unreachable FPS.
This is really killing my interest in the game. I _never_ ever had a headache from playing something 10 minutes.

Have you tried not playing with your friend. And no you cant.

I swear these complaints are getting weirder and weirder.

this is literally how both PoE and Diablo look. Have you even watched videos about the game at least? You clearly have no idea about usual flow of the game?

There is no way to turn this off same as there is no way to turn off bullet tracers in CoD. And it will only become worse and worse, much worse (for you)

What is weird about asking if you can turn off effects? It's fairly common in a lot of games.

Game without accessibility. I refunded the game for this reason.

Your first point is quite irrelevant. Just because something used to be some way, doesn't mean people can't make it better. Also, visibility isn't "flow". Maybe it is you who does not have an idea about game design. Which is fine, but maybe don't use terms you do not understand.

Your second point is a bad comparison. The tracers in COD do not literally fill the screen and make it impossible to see anything.

Well, as it is, the screen is yellow-red and my character dies from something I cannot see in all the yellow-red. It isn't really any better. In fact, it is worse.

The sad part is, the particle culling when running the game on 60 fps and having a target fps of 120 works fine for environmental lightning. The fireballs are obviously a different kind of effect and aren't culled. Which is fine, they wouldn't need to disappear completly, if they stop hiding effects of enemies, which are much more important.

still not weird but I guess someone who hasn't really played with friends prob wouldn't know how annoying it is to parse through the visual clutter in the game with multiple people flinging spells.

I think the OP's request isnt a bad idea. I tried to team up with a ranger spamming lightning skills and it was almost impossible to see anything due to their ground effects. If it was standard league, I probably wouldnt complain. Since its HC, I would rather that not be a reason for dying when simply turning off allied effects or at least limiting the visuals would be suffice

Yeah, I had the same issue today and a few days ago. It's just too much going on at the same time. Maybe a way to tone down the brightness and sparkle of party member effects. Set boss effects to always be visible through it, like an opacity control.

You're just jealous on your friend's balls.
