Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

PoE2 Graphics
The graphics in PoE2 are nice, but I'm surprised it just doesn't blow me away. Environments still feel lifeless. It's a slight improvement over PoE1 and that is imho disappointing. Hopefully this is just due to EA and the final release will be next gen quality.

Yeah it's just a bunch of huge randomly generated looking maps. It would be fine for the endgame but even the campaign looks like that..
I think the environments are full of life, little animals running around, leafs moving in the wind etc. And the graphics are amazing, more than satisfactory.

It's the same in PoE1. Higher res textures and models doesn't seem to be enough imho. I suppose the missing element is there is not interaction with the environment.

What in game settings you have? I play 4k all maxed out and it looks perfect. esp. spell effects e.g. lightning arrow

It's not the same as POE1 unless you are running it on low specs

I'm running at 1440p, graphics settings are ultra maxed.

Characters animations are superbly immersive. Love how the sorceress wave her hand while casting her magic.

Now playing warrior, his swinging of the 2 handed weapon is perfectly animated.

New light and effect as minimum

Poe2 certainly has proven that gameplay is far more important than flashy graphics. Ggg must regret not making Poe v4.0

Graphics looks lifeless, because i make it lifeless and i love it

Yeah, I was expecting more as well. Some spells look kinda tacky for a game released in 2025.

You don't see the graphics, anyway. You spend the whole time rolling.

I wouldn’t hold your breath on them adding more life to the game environments. Engine is what it is after all and early access means you’re past doing root coding at that level. Or else this would be an alpha.
