25 hours in and...
I didn't realize how much I wanted a game like this.

If your a fan of Monster Hunter World, any souls series, etc. this game is incredible. I have always wanted to like ARPGs but the single button mash/screen clear was just never my thing...well at least until now.

I'm 25 hours in to POE2 with a level 25 ranger, level 16 necro, and the warrior or whatever it's called at level 10. Game is methodical and fun, boss fights are on another level, progression has lots of pitfalls but if you read and think about it at least up through Act 2 it's very manageable.

My only concern is power creep and the game turning into epilepsy inducing screen clearing, but hopefully the devs realize the diamond they have here.

But we'll see, hoping the next 25 hours was as good as the last.

agreed. i'm also a huge fan of the souls and MH games and this one is also right up my ally. i grew up playing D2 and since then only POE1 and now POE2 struck my fancy. didn't care for D3 or D4 much. They're ok, but don't offer the challenge I seek.

agree but i wish end-game will stay more toned to campain and not like it's. Exacly end-game feels like it's just another poe 1

You haven't gotten to endgame.

Closest in terms of combat is probably Lost Ark, it was a very fun game.
But the mobile mechanics limiting gameplay and forcing me off the game every day, along with the amazon censorship killed the game for me.

It's funny when people get to maps, no more campaign, and actually have to play a Path of Exile game their tune quickly changes.

People need to play the WHOLE game.

I couldn't care less about endgame yet. I'm at 70 Hours played and i am in act3 with a Witch and act2 with a Warrior. And a few unsuccessful Hardcore runs.

I figure when i get all classes lvled up and some serious HC runs done, i'm ready for a break anyway.
Its a steal for 30$ even if you don't like endgame. Atleast for me :steamthumbsup:

I'm really enjoying the game TBH.
And its just early access as well.

You get stupidly overpowered builds well before maps if you know how to read. It pretty much falls apart right after act 1.

No it doesnt. I play SSF and start out in SSF HC, and its a good challenge.

The problem with you guys is that you read up on every overpowered build and trade for all the uber items, then you cry on the forums about the game being easy.

I play blind, i don't read up on builds, i don't watch streamers, and i play SSF.
The game is fun, and i am having a good challenge.

So basicly you have ruined your own experience.

you shouldnt care too much about maps right now, its there just because GGG noticed its important, remember that endgame was put together last 2 months, its not the representation of the game, the original plan was to have the entire 6 acts and add maps later on the road
