atlas skill point ?

hi friends, i can give points to 2 different regions, which one should i give?

it's a preference thing. i read patch notes recently that the improved drops per enemy modifier so i made a beeline for deadly evolution on the bottom which gives magic and rare enemies 1 to 2 modifiers. since i'm affecting magic and rare monsters i took the route that increased the amount of rare enemies in map. i then used the next 4 points to further increase amount of magic enemies and mobs while also grabbing that juicy 20% chance to get map shrines which can improve not only your clear speed but also exp and item drop rate. then i went for kirac bonuses which increase explicit modifers on your waystones while also improving waystone drop rate. the specialization trees require you complete objectives in their respective side content. for example killing the boss after giving an expedition logbook to Dannig will give you points to spend in the expedition atlas tree. you unlock Dannig after meeting his other 3 companions in expeditions you'll find on maps w/ the expedition modifier. all 4 will spawn in your hideout afterwards, each offering different services, gambling, vendor etc

Waystone drop first IMO. You may get bounced back to t1 maps from crap rng, but this will give you the best chance of not having your time wasted.

yeah i just buy fully juiced rare maps with 300%+ waystone drop rate if i don't have any left. i've always been able to get back at least the 1 exalt i invested into them, while also getting a couple waystones in the process. again though this is a very popular strategy and was one i used at the beginning of settler's in POE1
