But weird kinda friendship you have if you always end up with nothing. If I play with any of my buddies there's pretty much an unspoken (but abided by) rule that the other always leaves gear that's suitable for the other member (so the monk won't pick up wand, scepters or ES-armor and as a witch I won't pick up qtrstaves or evasion armor)... anything else is either first come first served or the game will drop 2 of them (like essences) in which case we split evenly....
So your complaint is kinda pointless lmao.
Loot drops are increased with more players, same as enemy HP. If you can't learn to share with your friends, then you best stay solo.
additive... but keep in mind that 1x200% is still only 2 (meaning magic find still won't turn up godweapons if you rolled absolute guttertrash on the loottable)
IE: If 4 dudes stacked in magifind party up they should start seeing a lot of good stuff?
Yes but again it's limited by the max tier of the gear that CAN drop... hence why I said you shouldn't expect to see godroll weapons drop in act 1... but the likely hood you'll find crappy yellow's does increase a lot...
I have a friend who plays a magic-pixie too and teamed up we found some 10 spirit gems, 10 lvl 10 skill gems and a crap ton of crafting mats within the span of maybe some 30 mins in act 3 (his max area he could handle)... found quite a couple of quality bows dealing chaos damage as a base too.
Keep in mind though that it's absolute destruction on your gear as you start favouring +% magic find over stuff that actually keeps you alive... I would deffo NOT recommend it to 80% of the people posting on these boards seeing as they can't even get through Geonor)
1. PoE 1 or 2 is not designed with co-op in mind. If you want to play it that way, know that you will always be in the minority, and your voice and feedback will rarely, if ever, be heard.
2. Party is not entirely useless; if it works like PoE 1, then when you party with someone, you will get an increased drop rate, which is not even that good. But remember, you are the minority here, so you should be glad that they even increased the drops for you—it's better than nothing.
3. The strongest point of playing co-op is that, if you know what you're doing, you can create a build that takes advantage of having two people, which can be really strong. However, know that 90% of the guides out there are for solo play, so you'll need a lot of experience to tweak things yourself
4. If you really, really want to share loot, you could create a guild and buy a guild stash tab to share whatever you find. However, remember that guild stashes are tied to the guild—if you leave, the stash is gone.
5. Just looking at the skill effects is only half the game, and my Sorc is already spamming tons of skills all over the screen. Imagine if there were two players—you wouldn’t be able to see anything at all, let alone expect your PC to handle it. And that’s not even considering the tons of systems yet to come. If they design it like in PoE 1, I remember some core systems were even anti-co-op, like your friend not being able to interact with anything while only the host could. So yeah, the future for co-op play looks even grimmer than it does now.
Well, if you’ve read this far, you’re probably wondering: what’s the point of making the game co-op for 6 players? They just included that feature so you can trade items—that’s the whole point of the online feature. Some super hardcore players might come up with ways to take advantage of having many players, but it’s definitely not going to be the average playstyle, that’s for sure.
Better yet, talk it out with ur buddy. Friends don't loot goblin each other. Even if you have perma allocation on, its not going to solve poor friendship behaviors.
The bonus from individual player's only applies when they get the kill.
Just want to make sure this distinction is not being confused.
As for loot distribution method, there's like 3 option, Free for all, Short allocation and Long allocation. See which one fits what you guys need and feel it's fair.
On side not, I do avoid joining free for all random farming party because them greedy melee members can grabs everything nice, and I'm talking about those orbs xD.
