Could you tell me more about maps? What's good about them compared to the campaing?
I get quickly bored by doing things over and over, i am more into building builds.
You simply cannot progress without going to maps. There's a exp penalty for being overleveled.
Also the mechanics like breach, expedition, league mechanics... the final challenege can only be done in maps.
People won't like the hear this but the camapign is the tutorial. POE is designed around the endgame.
Maybe this game is not for me, but still I had fun during campaing. I'm a bit sad it doesn't have all acts yet though.
Those maps sounds a bit like endless grind, am I correct? Not sure if that's what I would enjoy in all honesty.
It seems that way now bc it's just maps and few POE 1 game mechanics. When leagues start you'll have more focus in doing that activity with maps supplementing it.
Our leagues aren't some BS Diablo season. They completely change the way you play the game. They are literally a game within the game.
I completely agree with this statement, I already have 5 characters :D (didnt made warrior yet).
I played all Diablo 4 seasons so far, usually I play for like 1-2 weeks and then quit, as I get bored (I play as long as I have fun). Funny enough - it feels very similar in PoE 2. It's one week, and Im getting a bit bored.
I understand there is no season/league mechanic, and it might change it all... we will see when it releases I guess.
All I can tell you is Its not even fair to compare Diablo seasons to POE leagues.
For example one of my favorite leagues was Blight which turned POE into one of the best tower defense games ever made.
But most people won't even scratch the surface of this franchises depth bc they justvl want a campaign and do something else.
When i get all the bosses figured out i am even going to try some Hardcore shenanigans
So I'm stopping, would have been nice to play it's a great game, but I'm not farming 10s of hours to try another spec or be forced into a meta.
Go again!
Its not a race, its just a game. Nobody cares what lvl or progress you have done.
I am actually looking forward to try a new class.
So in about 2 years when the game release then. There is so much to fix in this game and we only have half of it, their 6-12 months release window is copium at best.
They spent last 6 months focusing on end game and its some of the worst game play i have seen.
