Your stash is account wide; so any extra characters you make can share resources/equipment; if your Mercenary finds a great weapon for a Warrior; you then stash it for later. This helps tremendously for alts, as your main character can find really good gear, so when you're playing alt characters, they already have full gear sets to start with.
You will learn. ;)
Yeah if I were to buy another one, Currency & and extra Stash were gonna be my 1st priority. But that's good to know, I had no idea it was shared between characters. I just assumed each character gets their own Stash lol
Pay this comment no mind OP. It is in fact the only junk in sight.
Believe me I'm trying lol. But I feel like this game really doesn't respect players going in blind. It's almost as if they expect you to do a bit of Google/YouTube research which i usually try to avoid on 1st playthroughs.
Other than that, maps in poe 1 (not so much here) and gems in poe 2, are nice to have, but not needed.
You can set affinities to any tab, so just basic tabs can work for most things. That being said a basic tab right now is 20 and I think the Gem tab is ...30? and makes it SO much easier to access gems. I forget how much the currency tab is, but it will save you hours over time even if you used a normal stash tab with an affinity, as it will keep all your currency organized and easy to use.
IF you want to spend the absolute least and get the most, I would do something like buy currency/gem and the best cheap bundle for normal tabs (if any of them come out to less than 20 a pop).
I don't personally need a premium tab...but ifyou do want to sell things on poe trade, upgrade 1 stash tab to premium or just buy one.
That is about it.
Unique tab is nice, but expensive and not really that important unless you like collecting (especially if you actually don't mind selling stuff).
If you don't mind selling (and 1 premium tab makes it easy). Sell uniques you get that you are not using, use the currency to rebuy them if you ever need them. Saves you all that space and lets you always have the currency for the best equipment you want at a time.
If I didn't hate trading, I would do that and I have the unique stash tab.
Maps are just nice and convienent in poe 1, but......you don't really need them in poe 2 right now.....so I wouldn't bother. The stash tabs will be on sale again in the future if you find you actually want one.
If you can get say a 3 bundle of stash tabs for 40-50, then upgrade 1 to premium for 10. Get the gem tab for 30 and get the currency tab, you will be set for this game.
Of course I have like 20 normal/premium tabs, unique, gem, maps, divination some others I'm forgetting, but I use like only 1/5th of them if that.
The same applies to cosmetics lol. Buuut stash upgrades still have some functionality and make your gameplay more comfortable, while buying some sparky cloak just gives others a reason to laugh at ya xD
You are not wrong but that is because they didn't expect any players going in blind, only a portion of experience PoE players who were willing to pay $30 to get in the EA before the game is finished.
They expected 300k total players at max, and probably not all at once.
They got 2million or so (who knows what the total is now) with many never having played PoE even lol.
So yeah, they centered the EA around people who already knew the ropes. They were not expecting TONS of people to jump in blind.
If you don't take it for space, just the organisation aspect of it is super important, searching for things and applying them on gear is just annoying, having a centralised area where everything is and will save your hours, if you plan to play this game long term
The one's I bought were
Currency Tab
6x Premium Tabs
Gem Tab would be cool, but I find it more qol, I will just use them on the fly for support/active and put them in the regular stash tab or discard them if don't need them, but I can see the appeal of keeping them somewhere you can easily access/view them
Stay away from prem quad unless you are trading
I am also waiting for the "Map tab" to come out, so I saved about 100 coins for it
The two tabs I like the most are the currency tab because it looks nice, and the uniques tab because it helps me collect em all.
