that means i can have my old cat one day from POE1 ?
BOTH games have been running off the same code on the same engine for ages. There's NO REASON they wouldn't work (other than probably improving visual quality.. that can be done retroactively).
It's the 'launch month' milking of the cash-cows.. They KNOW people can't help themselves and will be tempted to buy rather than wait..
Of ALL the $1500 odd dollars of MTX i already own.. ONLY the ones available for 'purchase' are available in my wardrobe.. go figure.. Hmmmm
Yeah lets just blindly port over assets from a 10 year old game into a modern one.
I'm sure absolutely nothing could go wrong.
I mean, Other than my Monk friend becoming a headless naked lady, nips and all, while browsing the shop, I'm sure it's all gonna go perfect.
Every cosmetic they've done will eventually be ported over.
If they worked on getting the MTX ported first, people would whine they were being greedy instead of fixing the game.
And now we have people crying that they ARENT doing the MTX first.
GGG can't win with you lot.
However not all POE2 cosmetics will be backwards compatible with POE1 (like if there is a weapon or class mismatch since POE2 has different weapons and classes)
I made sure to buy the POE2 supporter pack in order to get the coins btw (for the extra goodies) since the coins show up in both POE1 and POE2 shops to spend. So I bought supporter pack upgrade for 30 dollars from POE2 shop, which got me 300 more coins, launched POE1 and bought the celestial cat for 260 points, then launched POE2 again and it was there.
