One issue with progression and vendors

I think in the long run, tying so much of the game progression to vendors due to low drop rates, and having vendors only refresh when you level, creates a real problem when you also have massive gear check bosses.

The problem is that in a given stage of the game, you have effectively 6 or 7 vendor refreshes before you have over leveled the area at which point you are no longer leveling and so the vendors are no longer refreshing.

If you also reach one of those gear check bosses blocking your progression, you get stuck.

Maybe I'm just salty that I am a fire spec build and the two biggest gear check bosses in the first three acts were fire based and weak to cold.

Also, I forgot about the whole POE2 Trade website and I had a lot of Exalted orbs lying around so I just bought what I needed.

i'm lvl 80 and i've never bought a single item from vendor. and yeah, anyone who complains the drop rate is poor fails to recognize 1ex=1 incredibly powerful item specific to your build

I dont even get these low drop rate complaints, ive found a decent amount of rare gear on the ground, and besides that, TONS of orbs to make any item, rare.

Ive never needed the vendor, the only thing i use the vendor for is buying slotted gear for the rune slot shards. Its an ARPG you farm the gear and stuff to make the gear, and if you dont have enough your likely wasting those materials, or just hording them not knowing what to do with it.

All you need to understand is that RNG is real so your experience doesn't match everyone's experience. If you are finding all you need on the ground then good for you, but it's not everyone's experience.

If you have to overlevel the zone by 7 levels, you have other problems.
