It's an early playtest. It's a privilege for me to drop 30 pounds for this game to help the devs out because honestly they've been incredible over the years and Poe 1 is unique. For me Poe 2 is an upgrade whichever way you slice it. Having played almost exclusively minions since before we had act 4 in poe1, i can tell you it's way different and i like it.

Witch is a warlock kind of class now, you focus on debuffs and damage over time (chaos is my choice, will combine with fire later) and yes you don't just summon 10 zombies and 12 skeletons and spam flesh offering like in poe1 and watch them ♥♥♥♥♥ out zombies nuke everything. You have to actually use your brain.

Unlike in poe 1 you now have the ability to actually read what everything does on the spot, what's an ailment, what is a damage type, what's the difference between aura and curse. Even the passive tree is much more straightforward. With all this in your kit and the knowledge that this game like poe1 is brutal and meant to be hard, dying is a skill issue or personal choice (get crafting).

Please Devs, as a longtime player and lover of poe don't listen to the crybabies, we want the good stuff that makes us proud of overcoming a challenge. I don't want instant gratification, i wanna work for it.

Witch is a mess currently because of the spirit requirement. If you cant find gear with sprit youre hard locked out of progressing.

well if you play minion and took infernalist it's ok. im still playing it right now.

but if you took bloodmage you will have a bad time. if the first time when i watch pohx and he literally said it's bad don't play it.

Classic , streamer said it so must be true. BM is amazing and powerful. Sad you ppls need others to tell you what's good and what's bad and can't make decisions on your own.

Some of y'all don't remember the game was only added to steam some years ago, my hours here are not a counter argument. You paid 30 pounds for this game knowing it was an early access, it's not even broken. There's things they will definitely change before launch, its why we are here, to have a say and help form the game into what we want it to be.

If you wanna play minions with 1 hand and just point and click, thats your problem. Personally i prefer having to press more than 2 buttons.

As for the spirit requirements, that's valid. But again it's early access. And i believe the original idea was to have less permanent minions and have to actually summon every now and then. You can also craft items with spirit mods that increase it, or upgrade skill gems to reduce spirit cost. Having 2 auras and 4 minions as a starting point in combat with the possibility to summon zombies/constructs/SRS and diversify your damage types already proves the game is difficult but hardly impossible to play.

As for the ascendancies it's pretty clear you pick infernalist for minion builds and blood mage for a more warlock type debuff build. Where is the problem?

I love the witch. I now have 2+2 skeletons + unearth + freeze orb to keep them at bay while I use spark in random direction. I sometimes die due to a boss, but it's quite fun actually.

Not entirely figured out how spirits work exactly other than giving me the ability to raise minions.

I find it funny when people both use words like "casual" and then worry about "ascendancy". You're not a casual player when you care that much about specific builds.

However, GGG can and will change things as they like no matter what we think or want so we might as well accept that or move on.

My biggest minion gripes atm are related to minion pathing through tight spaces getting stuck, not being fast enough to keep up with the player running, and that delay after minions move to where you command them to move not attacking anything for like 2 seconds.

Dude you're insane. Coming over from a 12 year old game expecting it to be the same? Don't put GGG in the same league as Blizzard, i paid to support them because they're doing a better job than others. If you don't have enough brain cells to right click a support gem (which is not that rare even) and fine tune or adjust your build as you go that's your problem. You can use almost any support gem you want from other classes even, I don't understand your hate.
