I don't own any and I only see them in the trading. So I cannot read it.

Crafting purpose is different.

Alchemy give completely random stats. So nornally it is used for items such as map or some item with good base damage or defense. You upgrade from white straight to yellow.

Exalted orb are far more usefull for crafting since it give 1 random stats to your yellow item up to maximum 6 stats. So for example, I found this blue staff at store that give +6 to fire spell level, I can use regal orb to upgrade it to yellow giving it random stats for example +100mana. I then can exalted it 3 times to give me the maximum stats possible for yellow item. I can take further gambling by using vaal orb or chaos orb after that.

It is just an example there will be specific guide for crafting, so I suggest you read or watch those. Unless you just want to play around with it and spend 100ex or something.

You can't read item descriptions in trade? Surely there is a way that you're not seeing? If not this is a massive oversight by GGG. I only play SSF so can't comment but that seems really strange...

You can. He just doesn't want to ask Chat in game to link them for him, instead coming here to make us take more time to do it, when he could have just googled it at this point.

PSA: For new players. Holding ALT when your viewing an item allows you to move the mouse over the text and the underlined parts have more text to read in a pop-out. CLICK the underlined parts to keep delving deeper. These are called NESTED TOOLTIPS.

Yeh I thought that was the case. Although you are also not compelled to be on the forums either so maybe hold off on saying he's wasting your time. He did say he's a new player also so let's welcome him into the community rather than berate him :)

I never said waste time. I said take more time.

I'm here to help people.

But those who can't help themselves first, should really just stay quiet and go do homework.

Maybe none answered him in chat just like you and he does not know how to read them.
Not everyone knows all functions of the game chill, why you have to be so hostile to new players for no real reason.

'to make us take more time' - Nobody is forcing you to was my point. I get what you're saying though, a quick google search could have saved them having to post but at the same time, some people maybe like the interaction of asking the community, especially if they have follow up questions. Just be kind, there are probably more new players than PoE1 players for PoE2 so unless you want to help them without belittling them at the same time then maybe just scroll past the post. Saying things like "stay quiet and go do homework" isn't really constructive is it?

Never said I was forced. Nor was I complaining about it. I was making a statement.

And here you are all bent backwards trying to tell me off for just voicing my opinion. Get real dude. :)

Saying "Do homework first before speaking up" IS constructive feedback for someone like this. It will make them find the answer faster, easier, and more streamlined.

IF there are follow up questions then they can come in and ask for clarifications. Win/Win for everyone.

Get off my arse.

'MAKE' implies forced. Writing a post telling them do "stay quiet and go do homework" definitely implies you complaining. You basically come across as an a-hole rather than a welcoming member of the PoE community

form (something) by putting parts together or combining substances; construct; create. is the definition of MAKE

He is making us formulate something and taking more time to do it, when it is already done somewhere else that he could read in literally 10 seconds....
