Early access pack problem

So basicly i bought the key from 3rd party site, my friend told me today already that i wont get 300 coins which is preety scammy, but whatever.
now i have another problem, when i try to upgrade early access pack i have to pay full price again which is ridiciulus.
Is this how its intended to be?

Edit: So i bascily got a key that you get for friend with higher support packs, ill try to post updates on what i will be able to do in this case.

I think the problem is that you bought one of those free EA keys that you get together with the bigger supporter packs whichs purpose is to give them away to a friend, meaning you do not even own the smallest EA supporter pack so far. Which means that obviously you can't upgrade to higher pack as upgrading would require you to already own one of the smaller packs.

Also, the general idea of the 30$ pack is that you get 30$ worth of coins and get the EA key as a bonus. So paying for just the key without any coins seems kinda ... stupid to me. So just see it as buying an additional 300 coins when buying the bigger supporter packs as the advantage of not having to upgrade is that you will also get the missing coins.

Stupid question: Is it even possible to get a key that includes any kind fo content that isn't just the EA key? I don't see an option on their website to just buy a key for the supporter pack instead of just directly buying it for your own account. Or in other words: Do those key resellers even offer any of the bigger suporter packs? Since if they don't then it certainly is impossible, and if it's impossible then that means that it can't possibly contain any coins, meaning you did indeed only buy the EA key and not the smallest pack.

i think it isnt, i bought they key from kinguin and they havent stated anywhere that its ONLY a key

Oh, wo, kinguin realy sells many different things for PoE2. Even a whole Steam account that owns PoE2, or currency items, which are against the TOS. I would usually be way too scared to try to buy anything from sites that do illegal things like selling currency items since if they offer one thign that could get my accoutn banned I would be worried that the other options aren't that much better as well.

Btw, to know for sure what you bought you can go check it on the PoE website:

There it should clearly tell you what you bought and it shoudl even show you an upgrade button next to the EA supporter pack, if you bought that and did not actually only buy a mere EA key. That is unless for some reason it doesn't show key usages on that list ...
