nice bait
2. Again, like PoE1. The game is supposed to be somewhat difficulty. This is not a game to play for relaxation, this is a game played to be challanged by it. If you wanna play casual a few hours once in a while, you are likely not part of the target audience
3. you need to kill the minions faster and better control your movement, getting caught is a death sentence as you probably noticed, so avoid it
the boss in act 2 was tough, but not more so then the count
one has to keep moving and to avoid the aoes
environmental awareness and movement are key - having some way to passively deal with the hyenas helps of course (what is your class?)
4. pillars of eternity is a crpg, this is an arpg
but maybe a crpg is more your speed
Sometimes devs decide they want to make a challanging game, oftentimes one can work through it (like the souls series, you can just farm some levels and try to get stronger to make the challange easier)
If you want a 'nice, relaxing game' path of exile is seriously not the place to look, neither the first or the second, especially since some of the op skill gem combo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ from the first game has been removed
Both are sweet and more casual games. POE 2 is lika another job. ( more responsiblity)
game is unrefined and too hard for true casuals , so please , keep your "pro gamer attitude" for yourself
I get why people are roasting OP, but this is a very valid criticism. That boss dropped a unique for me and I almost died before I could pick it up because an army of his simps jumped down and gangbanged me.
I will also say that balance between builds and individual skills varies a lot. I'm willing to bet that if OP had gone with another build (and I'm not even talking about looking up a build guide), they would have had an easier time. I say this as someone having played 8 characters through Act 1.
you answered yourself, its an early access, why are you so impressed by it ? nerfs, buffs, balance in general will happen during the early access as people will play the game, people like you buy EA games expecting a finished product, lets remember that GGG added the end game two months ago in a split second decision, so it makes completely sense the game is unbalanced
Some people prefer their games to be challenging, and get so utterly bored if the game is mind numbing easy and doesn't require them to out-think or out-react the enemies.
Others are looking for a chill sort of zen experience where they can turn their brains off.
Neither is wrong. They are just two different kinds of games. This game is more akin to a dark souls game in that it is going for difficult and challenging... And the dark souls games are hugely popular for doing just that. There is definitely a market for difficult games.
You just downloaded a challenging game and are now on here wishing it was a chill game. It isn't a chill game. That's alright, it's just not what you are looking for.
Yea that is cool how they programmed that into POE 2. Definitely saved me a bunch of time and frustration and made the crash totally forgivable ha ha.
Back to the OP. I felt frustrated as well when i met the first boss in chapter 1 with the giant worm. Kept dying and dying. Finally i decided to go exploring other areas of the map and see if leveling up, getting better gear along with just learning how to handle enemy behavior would help. Once i was level 6 i went back to the first boss and easily beat it which was quite satisfying to see what a major difference it made leveling up and taking my time to explore when hitting a tough spot.
