I farmed some boss like you 20 times or a bit more, and its always the same pattern :
-First 2 or 3 kills, there i one or two rare along blues
-All kills after : barely no rare
It's like there is a mechanic to prevent you farming boss to get insane loot.
The problem with that, is even 1000 boss kill would not give us the answer because RNG is RNG, so it's totally possible in theory to never get any rare in 1000 kills, or get one unique at every kill.
We would need a very big sample size with many different players to as repeats for the experiment. Like 1000 players killing 100 times the same boss, at the same character level and same classe with same stuff. Then we could make a statistic analysis and we could approach the reality of what happening there.
But, empirically, I saw the same thing as you
altho its true what u say. in theory u could run 10.000 kills and never get a rare
just like you could throw a dice 100 times and never see a 6
but its just incredibly rare
my sample size is super small yes, but the result is incredibly unequivocal
roughly u can say she dropped exactly 3 blues with 90% accuracy
thats too unequivocal to be RNG
she didnt drop 2 blues a single time. let that sink in
she also didnt drop 4 blues a single time
what can i say
But like you, I think it's not really RNG and it give me this bad and weird feeling of artificial loot nerfing.
theres not even any doubt on it, wont even start to debate it
but what can u expect from a guy that has 13.000 hours on idl rpg
lmao omfg
