It just doesn't make sense with Minions because like I said the melee minions as well as the range/caster minions share like 85% of the gems. That makes it almost impossible to run a full Minion build that uses 6 gems for the Minions because u will run out of gems for them. I think they really need to change some support gems for the minions or remove that no duplicate bs. The logic of the decision also is flawed, people will always just use the best gems - the solution to combat this would be to add more gems that are on par with the best, to make it a hard choice and create more diversity in builds.
They don't, though? They literally do not. Melees want to be tanky regardless of dmg, unless we're talking reavers. Ranged/arsonists shine with scattershot, but they both do different types of damage, which isn't a good investment to begin with.
If you want to use the exact same gems on all of your minions, your build is terrible and you won't make it.
