Crashing when playing witch

I've sunk 120h into the game and I've had maybe 1-2 crashes since launch, it's been running very smooth. However, after reaching a2n on my witch, I've started crashing every 2 minutes. Game is suddenly unplayable.
I can still play my other chars without any issues, it's ONLY the witch.

I've tried:
Different zones
Reseting graphic settings
I've gone full nuke on GPU - uninstalled hardware/software with fail safe restart, rolled back driver update, tried latest update
Nothing seems to fix this issue.

Again, it's only when I play the witch and nothing else. It started very soon after I had selected my ascendancy.. I selected Bloodmage. Could that be the culprit? I find it hard to believe but it's the only real pattern I see. I run smooth until I reach lvl 20, select Bloodmage, suddenly crash every 2 min.

Any ideas anyone?

Also on Bloodmage and crashing in the jungle zone , I'm using frostwall and fireball , a lot is happening on the screen maybe that's the reason

I main grenadier, I nuke the entire screen with explosions going off so much most household PCs would melt and I still don't crash. I'm starting to think something is fundamentally wrong with Bloodmage

might be that sometimes I'm triggering blood orbs when destroying objects , like ice walls etc

No idea man, I don't use any of that, I'm doing flame wall with raging spirits and I do frost nova for some CC, but doesn't matter what spells I use I can crash after a single nova

I had crashing issues. For me it was Windows updates, Graphics card updates and had to re validate my game files. Ascendancy very will could be causing the issue. It did in my Gemling Merc build with skill gems. Caused FPS drops massively. I think this was linked to skill gems. Gemling can use two of the same gem in diff skills i was linking many of the same color. when i removed the skill gems performance got better.

My game performance is fine bro, it's when I play my Bloodmage specifically that the game crashes. All other chars are fine.

two up doots for this, i had crashing and i only play witch+bloodmage, got stuck at a spot where i crash as i load in, thought it was my pc until my friend told me that he crashes on witch as well, i have a 5800x + 6950xt, and he has a 12700k + 3070, so we have nothing in common but the witch

I constantly have crashes that boot me to the title screen, or lose connection, and it super frustrating when it happens at points where I kill a trial boss but then lose loot and progress cause I disconnect when it dies. Not such an issue when it happens out in the normal zones cause you just log back in and everything is still there, but in trials it all disappears and progress gets wiped. Don't have connection issues with any other online games I play, just this one, and at this point I'm just done.

I have the exact same problem. After one or two minutes the game starts lagging like crazy until it eventually crashes. I’m playing on a PS5 and using the witch infernalist specialization. I’m also in Act 2 and around level 20+. Initially, I thought it was related to my build, as I switched from a flame wall minion build to a chaos build. However, after reading your comments, I think the issue might lie elsewhere.
