How to go back in time again?

I missed some of the side bosses/quests in A3, and after beating the last boss and going into Cruel I'm unsure how to return to the past in A3 normal to complete them. If I go to the first town in A1 cruel, I can use the WP to go to the Drowned City WP in normal, then run into town and it puts me in the past. I can then start working on those quests, but if I TP it brings me back to the beach in A1 Cruel. Do I just have to do it in one run?

For context, I finally found all of the idols, knife, and sacrificial heart (which takes up a ton of room), but don't think I can go back to town to sell, because when I re-enter the portal in the past to go to town it brings me back to Cruel.

bump. Same here. I wanted to sell the loot just after beating the final boss and went to Cruel. The funny thing was when I checked the map, I still had the quest for going cruel active. rushed to act 1 camp on cruel and went back to normal act 3. Now all my progress in normal acts 1-3 is lost (no waypoints)... and I just wanted to do the trial of chaos, which I never even tried. halp

I couldn't access it either, you have to complete act 3 cruel and get to end game.

My buddy found a workaround. If you go to act1 cruel town, then use waypoint to go to Act 3 anywhere but town in normal, you can then WP to act 3 town in the "future" and it will work.

Was having trouble being able to talk to Oswald to sell the idols and finish heart.

I had this problem after finishing act (6) act 3 the second time. I went to Sandswept marsh and entered the city that way it worked

Glad it's still helping folks out! Wish they just added an NPC or something to go back and forth easier.
