That chapter 2 first boss, by the way, fight him at melee range. Move around him as needed, but stay in melee range. That way, you won't get all the adds.
The only time i've struggled with bosses was in co-op in a first play through with a friend. the health scaling just dragged it on too long and we lost because lack of health flasks etc.
Solo though, I haven't ran into a problem. Maybe its your build? What class did you go and is this your first time playing this game?
If I could beat Geonor alone with my weak witch and I was level 20, I think you can do it with your class too.
This boss is not difficult, the patterns are easy to understand, easy to dodge.
You need decent DPS, decent resistance nothing extraordinary and know when to dodge.
You don't need to wait for yellow or unique gear to drop on bosses, you can craft your own gear or use the auction house that you can access by buying a premium stash tab.
Thought it became a lot more frustrating in maps. Playing with Spark you will learn to hate life when you randomly die because somewhere, in the mess on screen, there was an Eternal Knight off screen that spammed 500 projectiles on you and killed you before you even saw it.
If you go to the official website of poe 2, you will see a button named Trade, this is the official website of the auction house. You can trade and track every equipment you are looking for.
And in the game, you have to buy the premium tab to trade items between players or sell yours.
This is a player to player trading system, so be careful of scammers. Double check the player's item before accepting the deal.
Im playing a Witch Minion build and bruteforced my way through until about halfway through act 2 before I finally changed up my skills, I caved from being full Minion to hybred and haven't been happier.
99% of your success will come from the gear you have and, unfortunately, you don't really see that gear in your early levels. Crafting materials are low so you cant even duct-tape something together in the meantime. If you can keep going and muscle through, it really starts getting easier. I think that halfway point in act 2 was the big turn around from slog to GoG for me.
You should start seeing better and better loot after that hyena guy.
Make sure to check the blue items that drop, sometimes they are pretty good and you can upgrade them to yellow for even more stats :D
