Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Im a moron, I know. But this game is to difficult... For me at least.
Look, I´m not trying to get anyone to change their mind. It is a beautiful game with lots of thought and creativity and skill put into it, no questioon about it.

I played Diablo 4 S6 and I got to Torment three and was beginning to advance to T4. But I couldnt get to T4. The difficulty was to great for me. And thats fine. I had approx 80-90 hours of fun with that season. And I still try bq I can do other missions, other events.

In PoE2, I was stuck on the end boss on Act 1. Almost 40 tries to get him to go down. I was level 21 when I finally had any luck and was able to advance to Act 2. Now I´m stuck on the boss on the first map on Act 2. I cant get past him. I cant level up any more bq the xp rewards of the monsters on the map are to low for me. I cant get any more items bq there are no mid level bosses that can drop loot. I´m stuck. And I played 20-30 hours. And thats sucks.

Now I know, I am bad at ARPG, sure. But really, am I the only one? If so then thats ok, thats on me. But I feel that even for a bad player like me to struggle to advance 10% of the game, says abit about the difficulty of the game. If the endgame was only for the most talanted of gamers, I would understand. But not be able to advance on the first map on act 2, hardly 10% of the game? Well I don´t know.

As I said, its just my thoughts. And if anybody dont like what I wrote, well thats fine. It´s just my thought, one of many.

A lot of bosses are about learning the fights, and then putting the knowledge to good use. But unfortunately, it isn't always the easiest to figure out. And, of course, build and gearing matter, like having a high cold resist for the last boss of chapter 1, and having a life flask that will last long enough for you to win the fight (potentially one that slowly fills itself over time).

That chapter 2 first boss, by the way, fight him at melee range. Move around him as needed, but stay in melee range. That way, you won't get all the adds.

Hate to tell you this but it gets much harder towards the end.

The only time i've struggled with bosses was in co-op in a first play through with a friend. the health scaling just dragged it on too long and we lost because lack of health flasks etc.

Solo though, I haven't ran into a problem. Maybe its your build? What class did you go and is this your first time playing this game?

Thank you for the tips for the Act 2 boss, I will try :)

I play Sorcerer, and it is my first time playing PoE2 so I am a noob. I know I made some errors when choosing support skills, but I dont know. It´s both my build and my skill that is the issue :)

Poe 2 is a game where you have to farm and try again and again. Persistence and discipline are the key.
If I could beat Geonor alone with my weak witch and I was level 20, I think you can do it with your class too.
This boss is not difficult, the patterns are easy to understand, easy to dodge.
You need decent DPS, decent resistance nothing extraordinary and know when to dodge.
You don't need to wait for yellow or unique gear to drop on bosses, you can craft your own gear or use the auction house that you can access by buying a premium stash tab.

Thought it became a lot more frustrating in maps. Playing with Spark you will learn to hate life when you randomly die because somewhere, in the mess on screen, there was an Eternal Knight off screen that spammed 500 projectiles on you and killed you before you even saw it.

Thank you for your tips, I will try to get some gear at auction house. But I feel the one-shot dead features of the bosses drives me med. But I will try again :)

First boss of act 2 killed me a lot when I tried to keep my distance from him on my witch. It worked before, so it's my go to tactic. When I tried to just run around him in melee it took only 2 tries. He just can't hit you

Get as much elemental res for element the boss uses and the fight difficulty changes drastically.

If you go to the official website of poe 2, you will see a button named Trade, this is the official website of the auction house. You can trade and track every equipment you are looking for.
And in the game, you have to buy the premium tab to trade items between players or sell yours.
This is a player to player trading system, so be careful of scammers. Double check the player's item before accepting the deal.

Honestly, man. The game gets much easier as you progress. You are still in the Early game so you don't even have all your skills/spells, probably trash gear (I know I did) and you are getting introduced to new mechanics/map traps/enemy ability's.

Im playing a Witch Minion build and bruteforced my way through until about halfway through act 2 before I finally changed up my skills, I caved from being full Minion to hybred and haven't been happier.

99% of your success will come from the gear you have and, unfortunately, you don't really see that gear in your early levels. Crafting materials are low so you cant even duct-tape something together in the meantime. If you can keep going and muscle through, it really starts getting easier. I think that halfway point in act 2 was the big turn around from slog to GoG for me.
You should start seeing better and better loot after that hyena guy.

Make sure to check the blue items that drop, sometimes they are pretty good and you can upgrade them to yellow for even more stats :D

The game is massively overtuned and imbalanced, it's not just you. It's EA, so they will likely sort things out eventually. But as it is, it's very frustrating, I'm at the final boss in Act 3 and I've had enough, I'm not enjoying it enough to push through (I love From games, so it's not the difficulty alone), I've done all of the side quests/bosses (few as they are), loot and upgrade drops are mostly very poor, so it's just do a lot of grinding to level and radically change my build which is too costly and time consuming, so gonna take a break and check in now and again to see when the inevitable nerfs/buffs happen.
