BUG? Cultist bow with 2 empty sockets won't take any rune?
As the title says, I just used 2 orbs to add 2 sockets to my Cultist Bow and it just won't take any runes. Any idea why? Is this a bug?
Very annoying as it takes ages to get the bloody orbs, at lvl35 I managed to get 4 or 5 altogether, runes are piling up, I have about 15 of them but now can't use them even if I managed to get a socket on the weapon??

There's no bug. You are probably trying to put the rune into the item - outside the socket hole. Instead, hover the rune directly over the socket hole (until it lights up), then socket it in.

Are you dragging a single rune onto the empty socket?

Pretty sure the stack size dont matter? I never had problems putting runes in if there is more then 1 rune while slotting in.

Ok then I suggest you post it on GGG bug forums, as they dont read these forums. Oh and abit more info then this will probably help them.

My bad, for not paying to much attention. I have always separated mine, so that is why I made that suggestion.

We all make mistakes ^^
I know runes goes on crossbows, so its odd it would not accept it on the bow. It could also be that the game is broken and would not do said action? He could restart the game and try again? Sometimes some actions just dont work at said point, server overload i guess.

Just like the guy above says. Restart and try again.

Sometimes the skill items or portals dont work either.

I have restarted guys, did not change a thing. I have put rune into my previous bow, there were no issues.
This time it just won't take any rune at all. Tried them as a stack and 1 by 1 as well.

Try zoning into a map, not being in town. See if that works.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

That could be it, I'll give that a go.
If that's the case it feels sort of strange that a simple drag&drop is not good enough, you actually have to aim...
