Maxing out at 50 fps. Only using 20%GPU!!!
I am trying to play this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game but I cannot get past 50 fps no matter what I do. For some reason my GPU isnt getting fully used as task manager says its using max 20% when I am playing POE2. For reference, I have a AMD Radeon RX 6700 GPU and Processor AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core CPU. I know I can run this game better and I am determined to make this work. PLEASE HELP

V-sync enabled? Freesync on monitor? FPS Limit set in POE settings?

What he says. Check if you don't have your fps limited. In game options or outside.

It's a CPU bottled game I don't think it really uses all that much GPU power. The engine mostly uses the CPU that said you think you'd get a lot more frames.

Check your AMD adrenalin software. I updated my AMD drivers recently and somehow it made one of my games use the eco preset which tanked the fps. Make sure the game is not using the HYPR-RX Eco setting under Gaming -> Graphics.

This one fixed my low fps. Might worth to try, but it's orientated on cpu low output

Should have to go through all that only to play a game we paid for. They should fix their damn game.

This has nothing to do with the radeon card. I'm running a 3080 and a good intel cpu but I'm at 15-40 fps with minimum settings. Bad optimization and cpu bottleneck

My four mandatory tweaks to window gaming when it comes to smooth fps
1. Enable High performance mode in windows (allow the cpu to work without heavy power restrictions)
2. Make sure the display update frequency (hz or call it fps if you like - same thing :)) is set properly in windows/drivers and that the game dont have fps limiters enabled.
3. Enable vsync in the amd/nvidia app and have it disabled in all games and let the driver handle that (if you want vsync that is...) - Way smoother fps in most games as the driver seems to handle that waaay better than the games/engines do
4. Make sure you run without bloat apps/overlays/performance monitor/motherboard software etc that usually have no benefits beside slowing the system down

Have pretty much 120 stable fps (on a 120hz display with vsync on), cpu is a 7800x3d thoo

I had this issues after I installed new GPU. I had 3070, now it's 4080 super

I've been thinking what can be a reason for fps cap, like maybe some technical bug on GGG side that can be fixed later.

But one message here prompted me to check my Bus Interface in GPU-Z/Nvidia control panel.

Turned out that instead of x16 it was identified as x1.

I'm not savvy what exactly that meant, but came to conclusion that my GPU's capabilities must be limited by this issue.

So first thing I updated my BIOS and...EVERYTHING GOT FIXED.

It's x16 and DX12 now runs with no issues!

so check your Bus interface info first.

AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core CPU should be able to handle that ^^

I have significantly more FPS after i upgraded to AMD from Nvidia. had 3070ti got RX 7900

Also FSR NO-Upscaling looks significantly better than Nvidia DLSS in this game
I have the same thing happen on Ryzen 7700x with rtx 4090, but it happens rarely and rebooting the PC helps
