Combat sound disappears sometimes.

Barely started the game, got to The Rotten Druid and mid way through the fight all combat sounds disappeared - only music and voice lines could be heard, but no sound effects at all. I died, the issue remained. After restarting the game everything worked fine until I tried to fight the same boss again. Tried three more times and the sound disappeared again and again and it didn't come back after killing the boss.
