Path of Exile 2

Will this game become screen clearing?
Looking for peoples' just kind of sober takes on what POE2 endgame will likely be.

I usually like the first 35-50 hours of ARPGs until you get to the point where you are running a "meta" build with good gear and now you just run around clearing the screen of all mobs with one move set, kill bosses in several seconds, and whatever else.

Now that sounds negative and from my opinion maybe it is. But, if you really enjoy ARPG endgame, optimizing every last stat, whatever then by all means enjoy it. Not judging.

But my question is, what do you guys think POE2 endgame will be? Will it stay the kind of dark soulzy combat I am enjoying right now at lower levels, or will it eventually be more geared towards speed running around, kind of "screen clearing"?

Just want some honest opinions on whether this game will be worth my time or not. And once again, not hating on the game or whatever you in particular enjoy about ARPGs.

Thanks!

Of course it will eventually be mass room clear game in end game. How can you have a repetitive end game grind without power progression? Souls like games are one and done games for majority of people for a reason. You don't repeatedly grind them for power progression because they wouldn't be souls like anymore.

Pretty sure I watched a video of them saying PoE2 wasn't going to have the same mindless screen clearing of PoE1, but it does, and it will. I should have known better.

Fair enough comments, looks like it likely will be, but I guess we'll just have to see how it develops.

Have the devs ever said they want to differentiate from the the original at all? less the kind of speed run/screen play style?

I just see it as a shame because if they could keep the kind of methodical combat in the early game and just layer on challenge and complexity would be insanely good.

Seeing screen clearing in a ice monk build that ziz's editor made. It requires a little windup to get going and the mob density to keep flowin. its a screen clearingesq build.

I think after BG3 ppls started having crazy expectations of a game, but most forgetting this is EA 0.1 build, f*k ton of stuff is missing.
This studio ain't Larian and into all dnd story telling expirence.

Adjust your expectations ppls, for real.

For all the insane people on this post reacting like I am bringing up some outlandish point...go outside.

For the normal people, thanks for the info.

Did listen to the YT link and a couple other vids, looks like they do want to avoid the one button click map clear from previous title so hopefully that's the case
