Ascension trials need to be removed
I don't know who was the genius that decided that, in order to ascend, you had to play 2 OF THE MOST HATED MECHS OF POE1, with the aggravant that in both cases you need a specific build to play said content, otherwise it's not a viable option.

How are melee supposed to complete the Sekhema trial when literally they can't be touched? How are squishy characters supposed to complete any of the ascensions if they need to avoid everything on both modes, with the aggravant that on Ultimatum they can die just because they are standing still?

You only had one job to do, that was respect the golden rule: "If it works, don't touch it, otherwise you will ♥♥♥♥ it up". Give us the original ascension, the Labyrinth one, with new lore if needed, since we do not touch Sarn, you can make it a Vaal Labyrinth instead, but something everyone can complete instead of forcing the mechanics onto the players like you did with ArchNemesis back in the day, that you ruined 3 leagues until you decided to listen to the community.

They can include it in a random corner I don't have to visit, ever.

I am not a huge fan of copying every poe mechanic over... id love for them to come up with new stuff and not just copy pasta. But at least copy the stuff people enjoyed and not hated.

This Ascendancy Trial ####s... and I finally beat the boss, the room opened and had eyes on the loot boxes, only for the game to crash, wipe my progress and put me back at the starting Waypoint--this is a deflating mechanic, at best.

The chance that you had luck with what the game offered hasn't crossed your mind for a sec? Because right now Sanctum it's essentially Vietnam, and Ultimatum more or less the same, if the game decides that you have to fall, it doesn't matter what you do, you will end up falling.

The 2nd trial you can at least build for.

The honor BS needs to be completely removed, there is nothing you can do, it's a binary between can do it vs can't do it.

I had to respec my entire monk build and spam ranged attacks to do it.

My witch (playing as a sorc) did them all on it's first try the instant they were unlocked, with extreme ease.

I've only unlocked the cruel difficulty trial version of the sekhema and got to the last bosses, which are much harder than the first one, in a trial 2x longer, and it was very easy too simply because I was ranged, my restored monk build could never even reach the first boss again.

No. They know Sanctum it's BY FAR one of the most hated mechanics, to the point that only those who like it end up making a build for that, and Ultimatum goes down the same road, but with a lot less hate than Sanctum. If you know your community hates a mech, the logic thing to do it's keep it something optional, not put something mandatory behind said mechanic.

And the overreaction it's not about the mechanics as they are, but because of the fact that, despite being an obvious bad idea, they went for it full yolo because "Why not?". If you know people hate a mechanic, what makes you think that they're gonna like that you put something vital behind said mechanic?

I kind of agree.
I play evasion range so Sekhema was an absolute ezfest, but I imagine it just feels bad for non evasion melee.
Trial of chaos I straight up hate.
Not sure I like ascension being locked behind such... specialised content

The Ascendancy trials are about the only thing seriously dampening my enjoyment of PoE2. Got my first two ascendancy trials finished, but beyond that, I don't even want to engage with this content despite it having a direct impact on player power. I avoided Sanctum in PoE like the plague, and I never really found Ultimatum to be all that interesting.

Pushing into maps, and I will just see how far I can go with only the 4 Ascendancy points I have.

I would say there's something wrong with the game's design when a player (me and others) can easily reach the end of Act 3.... but fail getting through this act 2 content in order to get power....

So what's going to happen once I complete act 3... those ascendency point are just going to be lost forever? How is the balanced so scuffed that the hardest boss in the game is easier than the content to unlock power supposedly needed to complete said "final boss"

I'll be honest, what made me quit poe 1 was because I couldn't beat Ascension Trial 3 or 4 something. I had to slog through a maze then finally fight a boss in a small room that constantly shot aoe bombs around the room which kept melting my summons and I had to keep moving a lot.
In hindsight, it was perhaps a sign of things to come considering what PoE2's gameplay is.

As semi new PoE player, I really enjoyed clearing rooms(Or running from one crystal to next, then rushing into final room as ads despawn) but this honor bar really took the fun out of me when I had to fight a boss in the final room where the floor was basically lava, and 1 pixel into its AoE would cause damage to honor.

As a warrior my kit heavily involves going in the face of enemy, set up my combo, each of which requires multiple animations to kick activate which leaves me vulnerable to damage for a moment. Then slam, kill stuff, in a giant blast and get my health back from all the carnage.

This mode takes away like 40-60 honor everytime I have to set up my combo, while watching the lava floor. Im mid act 2 and Im already on edge about just giving up on my warrior and this mode isnt helping.

Possible workarounds-
1) Get rid of honor bar completely for ascendency quest.
2) Dont punish player by doing a complete reset of trial, but instead demote them to the previous room with like 2/3rds of their honor bar or half of the honor bar(Or refer to point 1).
3) Give more ways to regain honor back(even if it includes hunting the Avatar). Instead of rooms with sacred waters maybe add like honor pools or something.
4) After successful completion of each room, restore a large quantity of players honor or restore player's lost honor during that room run.
5) Maybe allow Djinn to act as a vendor more frequently without it being a room reward.
