Perfect Jeweller's Orb (5 slot)

It just dropped for me, but I don't have a skill gem that has 4 slots yet. If I use it on any orbs even if it has 2 or 3 slots, will it go straight to extra 5 slots for the skill gem?

I got it from a Tier 6 map, I got the Perfect Jeweller's before I get a 4 slot one. lol

Nice, Ok Im not too far off then, I got my 4 slot from a trash mob on cruel act1

you can try gamble by corrupting skill it has a chance to give you extra slot without using that jeweller things.
but it's a gamble cuz it has a chance to remove one as well

Not worth it once you get to maps, they can drop often enough, I just got another greater since the last time i posted here

what the actual ♥♥♥♥ lol, lucky bastard. not as lucky as OP but i've finished cruel and have cleared 20+ maps and yet to see a greater (4 slot). did you sell it or use it?

that's not the only gamble. once it's corrupted you can't add anything. so in order to get a 4 slot with 20% quality, you'd have to first use a skill gem, then use a lesser jewel, then 4xjeweler orbs then a vaal orb. i had enough mats lying around to try it 10 times and failed every time. highly recommend NOT using this strat. i could have bought 2 greater orbs with that amount of mats.

Im playing Seismic cry corrupting blood build so its the only 5 slot i need

yeah 18 exalt can gear you character multiple times which would be far more beneficial than a skill having access to a fourth skill that'll add about 10-15% utility. considering at least you've already used the top 3 support choices at that point

Man youll never believe this, but I put the greater up on market in exchange for a perfect and after 10 mins I got the trade!

An update on this, if you use the perfect jeweller's orb, you need to have 4 sockets. So you need to use the lesser, and greater on an orb first before being able to proceed.

The perfect orb wont be consumed if you use it on a gem that has anything less than 4 sockets
