FPS with Rx 7900 xtx
Hey.

I'm getting relatively low FPS with my setup on 1440p
Rx 7900xtx and Ryzen 5800x.

In most areas FPS fluctuates between 60 and 140 FPS, but in town this drops to around 40.

Changing graphic settings makes absolutely no difference.
I have tried at 800x600 resolution with everything set to low FSR on ultra performance mode and I still get the same FPS.

Is this "Normal"?
What FPS are other people getting with a similar config?

Thanks.

I am the same 7900XTX, 5800x3d, 32gb ram. Especially bad when shattering frozen enemies & high mob density during breach etc.

Low fps in towns is normal. Set shadows+GI and water detail to low, you won't notice much of a difference and it eases on performance.

I have a 5600X a rig similar to your's and get similar fps, I cap the fps (be it 60, 72 or 82) and turn on AFMF 2 and let it do the dirty work. Works well, I rarely ever get stutters or noticeable frame loss even in towns.

Might have to. Tbh i'd prefer not to use AFMF since the input latency is noticeable.

It's very minimal since it's hardware-level, only games I wouldn't use it is in FPS games where every bit of fametime matters.

It's not your system it's the early stages of the game, no reason to worry guys I'm sure they'll fix it just like they did PoE 1

I run a stream where I help users fix their issues with the computers and I have had multiple users come to my stream who are having issues with this game dropping to 40 FPS regardless of resolution used, settings, API, none of that seems to help

They click on a purple breach thing and then it drops to 40 instantly, seems independent of how many enemies are on screen it's related to some sort of animation that takes place

Their GPUs aren't at 100% and their framerate is capped and still the issues persist

We're talking people with Ryzen 7800X3D and 9800X3D, modern i7 and i9 chips, RTX 4090 and AMD 7900 XTX cards like...it's not their system. Search forums, same thing all over the internet. Game is just rough, new.

Not any better on my 5900X/3070ti, weird dips for seemingly no reason other than these random animations. and then picks back up to 100+ FPS

Low settings, high settings, medium settings, any resolution, all 3 APIs, doesn't make a difference anything from 4K down to 800x600 makes no difference!

i get 160-180 fps maxed out at 3440x1440 with my XTX press f1 in game make sure your shaders arn't loading if so del your shader cache and start again fixed my issue when i was having the same thing at release. i also reinstalled my AMD Drivers.

https://ibb.co/bQGBzNj proof for the person who del his post........ it also dropped fps when switching between monitors for snipping tool. Around 160 in maps depends what your doing doesn't drop much below unless in a breach.
