and yeah everything you get will be for both games... unless it's something specific to one game. for example poe 1 doesn't have crossbows, so a crossbow skin wouldn't work there.
however a lot of cosmetics have not been properly ported over from poe 1 to 2 yet but will be ported in the future as the game is worked on more.
if you're a new player and bought into the game with the $30 early access pack, it comes with 300 points to spend in the store if you still have all those points. the fox costs 360 to buy so you would be a bit short if this is the case.
however when the 9 tailed fox goes on sale it goes down to 270 points.
I havent seen this in the store then or now, i have no idea where people have gotten them from but id love to have it. is it something from poe1? ive only now played 2 in 2024 & its been fun
Link to the entire PoE1 store, not the pet. But you can easily find it under "pets".
Sooner or later all the skins from PoE1 will work in PoE2 and you get both versions.
As of right now, many PoE1 skins are not available in PoE2. I guess its not just a copy/paste to PoE2, so we have to wait.

NO NO NOOOO! This is NOT true. Don't spread this misinformation.
They will port many, but NOT ALL, skins from PoE 1. They have made this VERY clear every time it's been posted or discussed in videos.
Not all skins are compatible, or convertible, to work in PoE 2, and therefore, you need to be very, very careful about what you purchase in PoE 1 now, as it may not (ever) be available in PoE 2.
Obviously if you buy a Spear or Crossbow skin in PoE2, you can't use it in PoE1. Because Spears and Crossbows don't exist in PoE1.
Or vice versa.
Edit: Pets exist in both POE2 and PoE1. I think OP is safe to buy the fox.
But I don't think its available to use yet in PoE2 so maybe wait.
Feels bad buying something and having to wait a undisclosed amount of time to see it.
No, it does NOT go without saying. If someone says 'all of the skins will eventually go into PoE 2' then people will make a load of assumptions that ALL means ALL, which is really not so.
Really can't emphasise it enough, given all the examples of ridiculous assumptions people have made about the game, how it works, how skills work (although descriptions are clear otherwise), etc. ;-)
thank you, is there a way to tell which will be added / currently work in poe2? dont want to get something ill never see/use lol
"M" key, then click the "shop" tab and view whats currently available.
They talked about it briefly in yesterdays live stream.
TLDR version: Its harder than people think to transfer all the PoE1 skins. But they plan to have it all done before early access ends.
