Na, impossible, I have been away from the PC these days for work, as I mentioned I have not used it, before the update everything was fine, after the update it started to raise high temperatures.
It's the game, something must have been done to it with the update, and I've also seen other users within the same game complaining about the performance as well.
I also have an i5 11400F
They recently updated the list of priority issues:
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3594260
I have CPU Ryzen 3 5300g, RTX 4060 and my PC is hard-locking, when I try to move another location.
A temporary solution would be to disable multi-point in the settings if you need to use a portal or teleport.
I also notice a big drop in performance on some maps and in cities.
Just a thought, have you updated GPU driver in between last time you played/noticed low temp and now? Also a plausible scenario: Perhaps prior to the update you had poor GPU utilization however patch fixed the issue, your GPU is now scaling properly with demand to achieve your target FPS set in game or framerate cap set in game. This causes your GPU to work more thus higher temp, result of course= higher FPS. Have you actually checked performance metrics to see whats going on? I bet there is reasonable explanation.
A 4090ti? Are you sure that is your GPU? That hasn't existed.
Even if you meant a 4090 an i5-11400 and it's older board is not good for the GPU. That will be a hefty bottleneck on the GPU.
I seen people with better PCs then me and it seem we're all having the same issue.
I honestly think it's PoE2.
I have the fps limited to 120, even having 180Hz, it still goes up to 80°C
