RIP performance
What have they done with the latest update? Before they updated the game, the GPU was at 50 degrees, now at 80, I don't understand why.

It's an RTX 3090, I haven't touched anything or downloaded anything in these 2 days, I don't understand the high temperature.

Na, impossible, I have been away from the PC these days for work, as I mentioned I have not used it, before the update everything was fine, after the update it started to raise high temperatures.

I'm having this kind of problem as well. My PC have a 4090 TI, i511400, 32GB RAM, and the whole PC just freezes sometimes at the map transition loading screen. My CPU its kinda olda, but I play any other games at ultra configurations with 60~120 fps.

It's the game, something must have been done to it with the update, and I've also seen other users within the same game complaining about the performance as well.

I also have an i5 11400F

Thanks you, I was about to quit gaming thinking that it was my hardware issue. I guess ill just wait a couple of weeks to play it.

Hi!

They recently updated the list of priority issues:
https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/3594260

I have CPU Ryzen 3 5300g, RTX 4060 and my PC is hard-locking, when I try to move another location.

A temporary solution would be to disable multi-point in the settings if you need to use a portal or teleport.
I also notice a big drop in performance on some maps and in cities.

Just a thought, have you updated GPU driver in between last time you played/noticed low temp and now? Also a plausible scenario: Perhaps prior to the update you had poor GPU utilization however patch fixed the issue, your GPU is now scaling properly with demand to achieve your target FPS set in game or framerate cap set in game. This causes your GPU to work more thus higher temp, result of course= higher FPS. Have you actually checked performance metrics to see whats going on? I bet there is reasonable explanation.

A 4090ti? Are you sure that is your GPU? That hasn't existed.

Even if you meant a 4090 an i5-11400 and it's older board is not good for the GPU. That will be a hefty bottleneck on the GPU.

Same here. Went from a couple of crashes on day 1 to being fine and stable going into day 2 and now it's horrible. Towns dip me down to 85ish fps from 165fps and i get crazy stutters that persist after teleporting. I've got a 4090 a 7800x3d with 64gb of ram. switched to vulcan but it felt worse. turning things down from 4k to 1440p and lowering the settings a bunch seemed to help with the crashing but not the stuttering so i think i'll just chill and let them work it out. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Windows snuck this stupid broken ass update to me when my power reset the other week or it seems like i'd be alright

turn your fps cap down to reasonable levels, people dont really realise how much power it takes to create 80+ more frames then you actually need, i play this on 90 fps cap and its still smooth and im not over consuming and ruining my cards longevity.

Was quite curious what had happened since the game was running quite alright but then out of nowhere during midday I started to have a sort of stuttering issue like the game is loading something in but it would keep doing it every 5-10 seconds.

I have seen a lot of posts about this, people are saying the game is fine and they randomly get a giant lag spike and it started with the patch being pushed through. I have seen some solutions but couldn't tell you if they worked just that it's being talked about on Reddit.

Ya, those almost got me killed 3 times, with 1 being very close since it made me run right into the boss but was able to roll away before the skill landed. Limiting the frame rate to a more normal range did seem to help.

I seen people with better PCs then me and it seem we're all having the same issue.
I honestly think it's PoE2.

I have the fps limited to 120, even having 180Hz, it still goes up to 80°C
