I'm running RTX 3080 and i5-10600k. Frames are good but these stutters are game breaker for me.
disabling c-states (from reddit thread)
disabling hyperthreading
swithing to performance mode
changing all in game graphic options
disabling chat
networking mode in config file
nothing helped.

For anyone who needs more detailed instructions: Settings -> Network and Internet -> Change Adapter Options (opens new window) -> right click WiFi -> Properties (opens new window) -> Configure button -> Advanced tab -> Wireless Mode -> from the drop-down menu on the right, select IEEE 802.11b. Phew! Worth it.
I still get spikes, but now the game actually recovers instead of just infinitely increasing Network ms into the quintuple digits ... will require more testing to see if it remains better. Thanks, random internet stranger!
I am on a wired connection so that is not going to help me...
Hey there, did you find a solution?
I have the same issue as you & also noticed it to be the worst on the Matlan Waterways map.
Nothing helped.
It IS DEFINITELY GGG Servers.
It's also "only" ocurring on busy days (which is nearly every day in the holidays...), but there were some good hours without lag spikes in between. But 85% of the time it's unplayable. Definitely gets worse around 8 pm on main gaming hours.
Thousands of others... over A HUNDRED THOUSAND OTHERS... are NOT having issues with the server, in the same places of the world the majority of those who ARE having troubles.
It IS a problem the user is having, probably.
The OP lists a problem that is very similar to the one I had. If you're also seeing frequent spikes, you may be suffering from packet loss.

If you ARE suffering from that, YOU have to troubleshoot it to figure out where exactly it is happening, and either fix it yourself (if possible), or contact the ISP with details about your problem- and then your ISP can fix it.
"But my internet is working with other services" is NOT an indication that the problem isn't on YOUR side and not the server.
