Full PC crashes (7800x3D, 4070 Super)

1 out of 3 times I switch to a new zone my PC is crashing and requiring me to do a full reboot. Apparently alot of people are having the same issues.

Has anyone heard whether GGG is addressing a fix or identifying the cause? Leading guess is the 24H2 Windows update. I've switch all of my graphic settings to low, and have also turned off a few of my processor cores so that I could at least exit if there was a crash and nothing has resolved the need to fully reboot so far.

Happens randomly, some times I can play for 7 hours w/o issue or sometimes it can happen 3 times back to back when trying to log in..

Having same issue with similar setup, but with 4080 Super. Switched to Vulkan and DX11, both crash eventually too. This is the only game that pushes my CPU over 80C, and even setting PBO to limit at 90C, still crashes. Something pinning CPU into the crash, all in their code, not our hardware.

temporary solution is Open the game > Open task manger > Details > right click poe2 > set affinity > disable some core like 2-3 cores
what is happening is if the game lag ur PC will also lag and force to restart
and what the solution do is disable some core so that ur pc wont hang completely because of the reserve core then its either you wait the game load (most of the time it will not continue to load) or close/end process the game and open a new one.
if its still hanging like everytime, you might need to restart to refresh.
PS dont forget to always disable 2 cores from the game so that it will not freeze completely
