He's black to specifically piss you off because the devs know how you feel about black people.
The warrior is Karui-born. If you've ever seen the Karui in PoE 1, it's probably not too big of a stretch to assume that his birth parents are dark-skinned like he is.

You mean the... giant picture of a black guy in the middle of the warrior skill tree, matching the black guy character model? Show a picture; what are you looking at, exactly?
Isn't he technically Karui, a pacific Islander type? The phrase "Tala Moana" was based on "Kia ora" which is a Maori greeting if memory serves.
