Woof! Character models

I figured with all the money POE has made, the character models would look much much better. The game looks very dated when it comes to the avatars. Also, extremely dated looks. Please compare to Once Human and this looks criminally bad.

I am unsure if it is entirely fair to compare PoE2 to Once Human. From the brief clip I watched of that one it feels to me more like a game in line with, say, Warframe.

Which I also have little experience with, but I am somewhat sure that neither of these are meant to have combat in them with as many enemies within a rather short span of time as it tends to happen in the endgame of PoE2.

I believe in light of that it is more than acceptable to have models as we have them right now and compared to PoE1 it is definitely a clear upgrade in quality.

I mean ... just look at the spine of the Marauder in PoE1.

I think PoE2 looks stylish. And that's what matters. Good art direction will hold up to the test of time. More polygons won't.

fine with the non-character graphics, btw. Just the body and clothing stuff is pre-Skyrim.

It doesn't look super great, but it doesn't look bad at all. I think they should optimize the game a little more, because it often can't handle the amount of stuff it throws on the player screen. It doesn't look good enough to have such FPS dips tbh :p
