No ascendancy points in cruel act 2

Did anyone else encounter this problem? I defeated the jhin in cruel act 2, got the coin, but the quest is still stuck at "search the traitor's passage" and trial is absent, so I went into normal act 2 to do the trial and didn't get the points, then after the gates the trial appeared in cruel act 2, but other coins are not giving points anyway

the cruel trials dont give you your 5th and 6th ascendancy points. you get it from map level versions of the trials

I think you need it to be certain level (like 60 or something) to get ascendancy. Patch notes say you should see right on the coin if it gives you points after completion.

It needs to have a certain number of trials on it. The patch notes literally explain it and state that now it will SHOW YOU IF YOU GET A POINT OR NOT. So just open your eyes man.

alright, thank you for the explanation, I just don't remember if Balbala coin stated anything about points, and thought that I messed it up, because I used her coin in normal act 2

Except all of the coins say that they give you a point regardless of whether or not they do, jackass

You need tokens at level 60+ and 75+ for 3rd and 4th ascendancy. You won't find any until act 6 and beyond. Mouse over the tokens to see its level, The door will be clickable for you to continue the trial at treasure room..

Fyi, 45+, is for 2nd ascendancy. So if you use a token that's 44 and below , you can't access the points for it..

I see, thank you, but the trial continuation is available even at less then level 60, that's why I was confused

Keep playing till the drop tells you it is used for ascendency. It's right there under the title if the item. Either orange or grey. Grey message says you won't. Orange message says you will. This goes for both tokens (Trials and Ults)

Also, you can get your points from either. It tells you that within the game within the passive tree details in the upper right.

From what i'm told you get it from maps, not cruel.
