Path of Exile 2

Warrior, love the class, some questions.
1. I should get Resolute Techniques no matter what?

2. I mainly use a 2her, but I love that using a shield skill with my 2her both swaps to my 1her and shield, and activates the shield. Can I do the same thing in reverse going back to the 2her? It doesn't seem so, unless I just use the 2h default attack.

3. Will using a Crossbow or Bow as my alternate weapon set screw me over in the long run?

4. I really like rolling Slam, but I am just lvl 17, can that skill carry me through the end?

5. Besides that, I use 4 other attacks. In PoE1, there is no way I would use that many (2 plus a movement skill at most), does this seem like a typical experience?

I do Infernal cry, then rolling Slam to build stun, Boneshatter when 80% of stun meter full, perfect strike when enemy is then stunned, and I lay Shockwave Totem at the bosses feet when I am dodging.

1) Depends on how, and what damage you want to scale. If you use Hit damage as main source then you need the accuracy and crit as good damage source. If you want to use and scale an ailment or a secondary effect after you hit then you should use "Resolute Technique".

2)If you open your skill window and click on a Skill you can select which weapon set the said skill should use. Normally the skill uses the required weapon or the weapon with highest dmg. That's sometimes not really optimal.
To change the option which weapon sets it should use you have to click on the arrow on the right side of the skill and then check or uncheck I or II in the dropdown column.

3)I have not experimented that much with skills of other classes. If you are new to the game I would advise you to select a single effect and scale it.
Example: Armor Break, Stun buildup. Fire damage, ignite...

4) If you scale stun buildup on rolling slam and then finish everything with boneshatter with aftershock. Then it can carry you very far because boneshatter later deales over 300% base damage.

5)For my totem thorn build I use 3 main skills. Rolling slam, boneshatter and shockwave totem plus one travel skill. For bosses and elite mobs I have some extra skills I normally don't use on normal mobs like earthquake and resonating shield.

Seems like you use the stun buildup mechanic and the required skills to do good damage.

im here to give info about no 4. ive used rolling slam till lvl 50 and i just found out that aftershock caused by rolling slam triggers a "visual aftershock" (and only rolling slam every other skill's aftershock does dmg) sadly the aftershock does no dmg, its insane gimped my whole build

Thank you so much.

I didn't know about weapon sets for 2, that's great.

Yes, right now I am primarily using a stun buildup build, I kind of just fell into it because there was no close second dps setup.

I did take the fire damage support gem early on, but only scaling it off physical damage nodes for the 25% more as fire damage. I don't think I will go for increases to fire dmg on the passive tree.
