There is no character creator - get over it

There is no character CREATOR in this game.
You CHOOSE one of the developers characters,
in a character SELECTOR!

This has is a tradeoff with pro's and cons. The big con being that I have to play a big brawny black boy warrior class, not some skinny white girl with a stick figure frame who magically wields a warhammer like this is some anime fantasy or something. Now let me explain why this is a good thing!

The tradeoff comes with so many upsides for development, testing, story/character, and the quality of content in the final product.

We get:
- Great characters with unique looks, personality and dialogue who are all awesome! Lets be honest, these are better than what you or I would create, and have more to them than a character creator would offer.
- Way more actual game content, as many thousands of hours are saved in development and many more during internal testing/QA. Not just now, but in an ongoing basis as every piece of new content they add for the next 10 or more years would also need additional development work and testing to work with more characters, or a character creator system. Y'all really don't get how much work is being saved here.

what we lose:
- The ability to waste hours of our lives making generic looking average Jane's and Joe's like almost everyone does in every game with a character creator. Just look at Boulders Gate 3. It has one of the best character creators ever, which cost them MASSIVELY to add to the game, and yet almost everyone makes an average looking human. I still think its great for that game, but it is not the right fit for this game.



The developers have made a design decision. Its a good choice that works well for this game type, and delivers great content for the players. It is not going to change suddenly because of a few Debby downers being crybabies about not getting EXACTLY what they want. So can we stop now? The daily posts complaining about being quote *Gender locked* or *race locked* are stupid. Nobody wants to be reading that. Lets go enjoy the game instead yes?
