How long do you think the Early Access will ACTUALLY be?
I know nobody can know for sure, not even the devs, I'm just curious to see what the community's expectations are.

10 months

The devs have estimated 6-12 months, but it could go longer. Personally, I think it will be at least a year to iron things out. The balancing for what they have now is going to take huge effort, and then on top of that they are adding six more classes and 24 more ascendencies.

The amount of new content coming is staggering, and the balancing act for the total package when working smoothly will be a behemoth that will dwarf other games in the industry.

I'll honestly be happy when they finally stop my PC from crashing.
There's something wrong with that village area in Act 3.

3 more acts. 6 more classes each with 3 ascendancies (including 1 more for each of the 6 classes currently available). 6 more weapons with skill sets. And that's just base game stuff, who knows how much more endgame content they have planned. Plus all the changes to the existing game as we play test it.

At least a year, if not longer.

Well lets think what is needed for full launch, a lot of classes/weapons and another act right? plus fixing whatever needs to be fixed thats in game.

No one really knows how much is done with whats missing but id bet closer to 12 months if not more.

Doesnt matter to me. Im playing POE2, its launched. As long as theirs a stream of content and updates IDC when they call it launched or not. Im not even worried about it given their past.

I highly doubt they will deliver on all that, devs almost always over promise on content...

Next year in february the final release will come.

6 months minimum but knowing them they'll want to polish things up so 1 year.
goodgame Dec 11, 2024 @ 6:06pm
Early access should be infinite and continue to filter childrens out with needing a credit card to play.

this will be 2 years of fixing/adjusting, unless what we were given has much less content than what has already been released internally. Games like this usually have a totally separate branch from what we see, so it all depends on how often they push a major update.

Man, if GGG feels they need more than a year to work out this monster, they will have so much undeserved vitriol, I already feel the heat from the future, angry mouth-breathers on the back of my neck. :steamsad:

They have the guts to make that call, and it will ultimately be ready when they're happy with it.

I'd say 7 months. They really want it out before 2026.

It's not like they're going to stop adding and adjusting stuff after full release anyways.
