Path of Exile 2 VS Last Epoch - Playercount

Okay so considering all the content creators and POE2 haters in general, are talking that Last Epoch is doing better than POE2.
As someone who's never seen Last Epoch I thought i'd do a quick view on the steam page and playernumbers.

And honestly, they are not at all in the same league as eachother.

POE2 playernumbers; 83K Current players - 171K 24hr peak
Last Epoch playernumbers; 3K current players - 7K 24hr peak

Also i'm not sure if Last Epoch has a seperate launcher where the majority of players are. But going by steam numbers, Last Epoch is a pretty niche game that's only as popular as Path of Exile 1.

So POE2 is a by all means more succesfull and more fun (if it wasn't fun it wasn't succesfull) than both of those games combined.
and the only people who hate on it are content creaters who can't play without a build guide and butthurt POE1 players who basically want diablo type of gameplay (fast paced zooming across the map)

You know that PoE2's 0.2.0 season just launched. Come back here in a few weeks or at the end of the season.

Last Epoch's new season starts in 2 days, so there's no point in playing it right now, even though I really want to.

At least you have crafting in LE, and the content isn’t that scarce. The only thing PoE2 offers right now is boredom. So if that’s what you're into - good for you.

You do realize their game is $30, right? That’s not insanely expensive for a fully finished game packed with content.

Last I checked the campaign wasnt finished and a bunch of classes locked.

Player count andies sure are something else, excessive tribalism is also pretty weird. According to some of you the choice is between "slow and tedious (not hard)" versus "floaty and boring", pick your poison.

Just play what you like and don't be a pathetic loser bashing "the other tribe". Multiple choices for similar genre games are always good.

Who said it was doing better again? They have a decent looking patch coming out and new season is coming out which means base players will be back and there will be new players.

Theres loads of hype around the new EL patch whereas this patch not so much. The new patch may be crap. We'll never know til we start playing.

I don't think anyone has said that it will outdo PoE 2 numbers. Yes, they struck lucky because there are players from here starting the new season because they can't get on with 0.20 and nobody from EL seems to be interested in this game at all. Also, reviews from 0.20 are pretty negative whereas theres lots of positivity around the new LE season that may entice players to play that instead.

The devs at EL are small and have a dedicated playerbase. PoE 2 is huge with 12 years of PoE 1 players to call upon, over 1 million if you count everyone thats tried or played for a period of time.

It also doesn't help that trolls from here go to their discussions to try and mix it up with negativity.

Please, point the way to people saying it will do better than PoE 2.

I am quite hyped for Last Epoch.
I am also hyped for PoE 1 coming back with a new season.
And for the next PoE 2 update xD i gonna play them all ...

Except for D4 since the seasons are over for me way to quick. But thats like a personal thing.
I just don't understand why people have to limit themselfs to just liking one arpg xD such a weird thing ....

The thing is - nobody is limiting themselves, they either:
1) Hate poe2 for vision
2) Hate poe2 haters for their hate

And almost everybody hate d4.
So, LE is just an instrument here.

Thing is, if you went on to the The First Berserker forums and said you were looking forward to the new exp for Elden Ring, would you get this response?

Its like people are just put out, put people down or make up stupid stories because some people are talking about a new season in EL. Its childish at best.

Also in 2 days when the new season starts + new patch drops ,concurrent players will increase again as usual when big updates drop.
How many players idk. But i guess around 100k would be a safe bet considering some PoE refugees want to try it out and LE players crave for new content.

Keep in mind that LE hit over 260k concurrent players on Steam at launch. This time, I expect it to reach more than 300k, simply because PoE2 is so bad that many players will jump on the LE train instead.
Myself and 5–6 of my friends who played PoE2 this season are now eagerly waiting for LE. And I suspect we’re not the only group feeling the same way. :D
