Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2

Is PoE2 Pay 2 Win
Is PoE2 a Pay 2 Win game?
As in I'm lvl 80 worked hard, days/weeks/months investment, and can someone just outta nowhere throw down their quarter million investment Pay 2 Win and get high level and get SS tier items and 1 shot everything and be the best in game via $$$$?
Also, what other games are not Pay 2 Win?

no this game is not, neither is path of exile 1

you have to pay for early access. but if you wait the game will be 100% free just like path of exile 1

dont know of any free action rpgs that are not pay to win other than path of exile tbh
Depends on what you mean p2w. the game itself is p2w in a way...

BUT if you mean can some one buy gear to become stronger? Not in game. But RMT ( real money transaction ) is rampant in the game, yes. I see ads for it everywhere and i don't even play the game. Your favorite streamer is probably doing rmt.

This game has like 40k+ bots in it 24/7. Currency is so cheap it's like 5 cents for a divine in HARDCORE. but then there's the people crafting gear that sell them for hundreds of dollars for mirror tier gear. saw as treamer with mirrors worth of gear and was new to the game and had no idea how to play but was doing well enough because he spent like $4k on items

You have no actual proof poe 2 will EVER be f2p. and don't say "they said it would" . they said a lot of ♥♥♥♥ about poe 2 and one of those was it wasn't going to be ea and it was going to be f2p from the beginning.

and poe 1 is absolutely p2w

Of course p2w. The existence of buying for storage is enough of an advantage. Moreover some of this storage allows trade which open up to shady black market practices. Just say, you won't be on any leadership board or win any league races without this advantage and inherently waste of a huge chunk of your limited lifespan managing inventory.

nope you can't do that.
But it is the same type of not p2w but pay to enjoy as for example Star Wars the old republic.
You can technically play without spending money. But if you don't want to feel handicapped, you need to spend some bucks. (or some more bucks)

Nahnahnah nah let us be fair here. You highly misunderstand what Pay to Win LITERALLY means.
You can just ignore the small devil sitting on your shoulder to hard dozens of items and build gear in your stash. But you are not hindered in attribute or power cap by not spending money. it is just less enjoyable to play without spending. But that's still not P2W

Yes, its pay to win by using real world currency. If it was in game currency then no. Any game, single player or multiplayer, that lets you get ahead by spending real money is p2w. You win bragging rights and leagues. If Elden Ring had functional armour you could buy that normally only dropped from bosses then that is p2w. Same goes for every Ubislop game. Buying xp etc.

You have zero clue what "p2w" means. Your personal interpretation =/= literal definition

It's undoubtedly p2w game. RMT has been a thing for years in POE. It's deeply rooted and has become an essential part of this games culture.

What amazes me is how when Diablo 3 started with an RMT auction house people basically went nuts about it. Blizzard was forced to shut it down. And this game. This game has been thriving with RMT and no one, literally no one says a thing about it.

None of the game's microtransactions provide power, damage, survivability or any other stat. Nothing you can pay GGG for will make it easier for you to kill monsters or take less damage.

The only thing you can buy from GGG that is somewhat gameplay effecting are stash tabs.

Is paying to add inventory QoL P2W?
Is paying to look cooler P2W?

You'll have to decide for yourself.

Debating what is or isn't P2W is pointless because everyone defines the term differently.

Pay 2 Win with any game have auction/Market... Just play SSF fix that then again deal with account sharing there for just better off playing enjoy the game for what it is and Focus less on leaderboards and Competitive Gaming and you enjoy game's alot more and if rank up on leaderboards that's a bonus also have to #note some player's have more free time and luck then other's there for leaderboards in anygame are out of wack in terms of game balance.
