I estimate poe 2 hast at least 50k bots - also RMT is rampant

It was blatantly obvious the on launch and even more so now and ggg is to blame with their free code give aways and free codes that came with poe 1 supporter pack purchases that were then sold on sketchy sites or given away to streamers while those streamers where giving away free codes from ggg. remember it was codes claimed, not games sold, which would also include poe 1 supporter pack sales which is a scummy tactic

You can see the line never goes below a certain point. then on the weekend the graph goes up about 17% for weekend players.

I've looked at many different charts recently for live service and for games like schedule 1 that have no reason to have bots and have looked at them for many games in the past several years to follow games i enjoy and do not enjoy. These games tned to go down below the 50% mark to even 20-30% on average. not every game does this but then those will go to 40% one day and then 30% the next on the dip.

The fact poe 2 stops at the same spot and only gets to 50% or more on downtime means there are bots playing 24/7 . poe 2 is a special kind of game where it's VERY grindy so it could make sense that some people are ignoring the need to sleep work and eat for the entire week and my numbers could be off. but it could be that my numbers are low as well.

i'm not saying poe 2 has lost ark levels of bots where 90% were bots, but it is boosting the player count and ggg will do nothing about it. I could go down the rmt by dev ( or dev associate / shell company ) but i wont make any accusations about that today.

that and you see ads for it in forms of youtube videos and unfortunately poe sites that can't hlep it for like .05 cents / divine in hardcore.

When I played this game, there were a lot of spam messages and items with strangely low prices on the market. So yes, there are definitely bots in this game, but 50k? That seems excessive. Are you sure?

TFT is the RMT ring leader but they have a contract with GGG. As long as they split the rmt profits with them then they're safe.

could be 40k 40% of the dip. you just have to look at what 30-40% of players are and then do simple math to subtract that from total players. if it's normally 30-40% of players on dips for MOST games, and a lot of other live service games have even worst botting than poe, then you can just see the rest are bots playing 24/7 to keep the players at that consistent number every USA night. now they're not playing to keep the numbers high but they don't need to sleep or take breaks ( unless you go into another theory that ggg does this to trick people into playing, like they do by paying so many streamers).

and then with only 17k players coming back for the weekend it doesn't make it look any better.

i stated where i got my data from. it's not like i'm out here saying i have absolute proof from deepthroat69 whistleblower.

I'm just using the data available and what others have used in the past to determine bot count in games that was widely accepted .

just look yourself. most games reach 30-40% of max players on the dip , some even less, some more and some other games have worse botting than poe. then subtract the actual numbers we see from that and you can speculate ( all i'm doing ) that the botting is around these numbers. it's been well known that poe 1 has a botting issue for a decade, but in poe 2 you can ASSUME it's worse with the scarcity and slower gameplay.

that and you see all the ads for currency rmt if you go to poe related sites and even youtube videos if you search it. and if a divine is only 50 cents on hardcore... you know they're out in big numbers

you don't have to believe me, but you don't need to just assume i'm drew a graph on my wall and said, yep it's bots, lol

I have 10's of thousands of hours in poe 1 and not so much in poe. i play on the client but have to play here to review.
